    Gas Tank Issue

Could be but a bad fuel hose but it would be between the tank and the selector valve All those filters named are common to a specific engine and if they were bad, switching tanks shouldn't make a difference. The air leak is a possibility. There is a very low possibility that the tank pickup is...

    No top end power

I agree. clogged VST screen is a common source for your symptoms. Other potential causes of reduced fuel flow could be fuel pumps. I don't see a screen in the parts in the fuel pressure regulator. Not sure if there is one. Did you replace the element in the motor mounted fuel filter? ( The...

    ECOS Switch lanyard length

No requirement. The only downside to a long lanyard is the possibility of tripping over it.

    No top end power

Good point. I shudda thunk about that. It easyto check, take the cowling off and while someone moves the contrail, see if the throttle linkage moves in sync.

    tilt trim indicator

On my 150, SX the sender can stick but also the cam on the shaft can break and not rotate the sender lever. The old cam arrangement was a plastic band but the replacements are all metal. If you have the clamp cam bracket, it is easy to check. See if it rotates when you push or pull on the tab...

    No top end power

When it maxes out do the revs surge and drop or stay pretty much steady? The former would lead me to suspect fuel starvation, the later would lead me to suspect spark.

    Gas Tank Issue

Are you sure you have one filter per tank or do you have one filter per motor? Your problem does sound like fuel starvation. The fault may not show up at the dock because the fuel flow demand is lower than when running on the water. Did you try Dennis's suggestion of running with the fuel fill...

Questions about buying a 228 Seafarer...

What the heck is a '2000 and newer GW' ? It's either a 2000 or it's not:) On another note, I was told a long time ago, by a vey experienced surveyor that he from a professional and ethical standpoint would never tell a client to not purchase a specific boat. The surveyors responsibility is to...

    Off shore safety

All good suggestions with one exception. Running off two tanks, one per engine, doesn't add a lot if you gassed up both tanks at the same gas dock.

    Boat cushions

You will have hard time finding original cushions with the Grady Logo. You could have cushions made but they probably won't have the logo. You may find that new seats with cushions will be cost effective over custom made cushions. Here is a really inexpensive option...

    Off Shore Pedestal seat

I would replace the pedestal and base but you will need to check if you have enough space to mount a round base. I can't tell from the pictures. If not you will need to get a 'flat' sided base that has one flat edge so that it can be mounted towards the edge of the seat locker. Here is an...

    Off Shore Pedestal seat

I don't understand what part you are referring to. The major components are the seat, the seat swivel/slide, the pedestal post , and the pedestal base. On many Gradys the pedestal and base are one part.

    Quick spray boat soap

Boat soap, a bucket and a deck brush followed by a good rinse. For tough spots, on my hands and knees with a rag. (assuming I am in the mood to get on my hands and getting older knees) A process I see a lot at my club is to take your friends fishing and then make them wash the boat. That's easy...

    Hull Cleaner: Liquid or gel?

The liquid if fine as long as you rinse after the recommended time to scrub. Plastic is a good idea since oxalic acid and galvanized steel don't like each other:) After your cleaning, rinse the trailer well.

    Dive ladder mount plate

Hopefully that fracturing of the fiberglass is due to the bracket moving and not the cause of the bracket movement. In either case, you need to remove the bracket and see what is going on
