    Cruising RPM's?

2006 330 Express with F250's & 4 blades 16" pitch. 2,200 hours and counting. I cruise at 4,300 RPM's doing 22-24 knots. Maybe 4,400-4,500 if I'm heavy with full fuel. I do not like running at WOT (5,700 RPM) and do so once in a while just to be sure it can do it. The GPH at WOT scares me!

    2006 330 Express

Over 2,200 hours on the F250's and my FP Genset still running great at 758 hours. Love the layout of this boat!

    Cut, buff, wax.

KY - Nice outcome but it is far better for your gelcoat to not have to do any wet sanding. Just my two cents. Here is my 16 year old 330 Express - photo from yesterday. Twice a year she gets 3M Cleaner Wax for lightly oxidized surfaces then sealed with Collinite Fleet Wax. This boat will...

330 express with 300 Mercury four strokes

I have not but I think the 300 V8 Mercs are an excellent choice. Made in USA and easy to work on (per my Mechanic). I have heard nothing but good things about them.

    Replacement Bang Cap sealant?

Fishtales (above) nailed it. Well said - sealing a wet transom is lipstick on a Pig. Eventually, one must deal with the root issue... That said, Grady's transoms are so thick and so strong, depending on the extent of moisture, a transom failure may either take a long time or frankly never...

    AIS systems

I've had mine for over ten years. Class B Transponder. They work great. Ships have Class A (20 watt signal). Most Class B's transmit at 2 watts. So, You will see the Ship long before the Ship will see you on their plotter. I recommend AIS to all who may navigate in fog or at night -...

To generate or not to generate

No inverter on my 330. Why need one when you have the FP? (which I use all the time).

    33 express rocket launcher Pedestal

I think "Grumpy" needs more rod holders. 30 is not enough. You need at least 50 or 60. Just sayin...

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

They might (?) cover a bit of it and ask you to sign an NDA. Regardless, you are doing the right thing. I'm thinking the expansion and contraction of freezing water/ice contributed to the issue. I bet all Gradys (and other brands) over 10 years old with wood transoms are wet to some degree...

    33 express rocket launcher Pedestal

The one that I have seems to have been discontinued by Birdsall Marine. I have a rectangular shaped Table that is I'd say 2X the size of this item in the below link. If you notice, at the base, three large allen head bolts removes it. It has a separate mounting plate that you through bolt...

    33 express rocket launcher Pedestal

Had my 330 for over 10 years now (model year 2006). When I first bought the bought, it had a rectangle shaped table with 4 rod holders and 2 cup holders in the table. Made by Birdsall Marine in FL. I took one look at it and said it's got to go. Now, I can't live without it! It holds...

Need some assistance about a generator light.

If it helps, your generator (a F Panda I assume) will self protect itself by shutting itself down if any of these 4 occur: 1 - Low engine oil 2 - High engine temperature 3 - High Exhaust temperature 4 - High winding temperature Since your issue is happening while underway, my guess is it's #2...

    High Water Alarm Recommendations

FYI - in my 330, I did the same thing as wspitler above except I added 2nd High Water Alarm in the stern area bilge as well. Both alarms have their control panels installed below the CO Alarm (on the port side as you hands and knees crawl aft). This is where I see Grady putting them on their...

    Sloppy Steering

Thank you for these how to about steering. How about adding some type of power steering? >>> You certainly CAN add power assist steering to your current set-up. I have a 330 Express with power assist and frankly, I'll never own a boat without it. It works soooo good!. It installs in your...

    Rupp outriggers on 330 express

I just mounted it thru the fiberglass hard top. Do you think this will work? <<< No. For long term use, the bases need to be mounted, welded, onto the metal frame of the hardtop.

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

If one were to remove the bang plate, isn't the very top of the transom already fiberglassed and sealed at the factory?

    Bang Cap vs. Bracket

I am curious about two things: #1 - What is the purpose of the bang plate? (besides causing corrosion!) and #2 - What exactly is under the bang plate? Like - at the factory - is it Grady's practice to fiberglass and therefore seal the very top portion of the transom? God help us all if the...

    330 Express Bilge Pump removal

I replaced mine through the 6" deck hatches. I don't think you'll get close trying to go up and over the generator. It can be done going straight down through the 6" deck hatch. Get into the right position and reeeeeeach!

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

Your Transom Repair Guy seems very knowledgeable. Personally, I think you're lucky to have him work on your boat. If you intend to keep it a long time, you are doing exactly the right thing and will add value (and safety) to your boat in the long run. This is actually a good time of year to do...

330 Grady White - electromechanically operated electronics enclosure

Same for me above by Kirk. It was the switch, not the motor... Check it closely and you'll probably save alot of money.
