Marlin 300 Generator Fuel Pump Corrosion and Replacement

Are you saying the actual PUMP is corroded... or just the ground strap? The green color is not "corrosion" - it's verdiris and is actually copper's natural way of protecting itself. If you want, clean it up and then you'll be better able to tell the condition of the ground strap. It sort of...

    Cutting open anchor locker access?

Adding onto the above... I would avoid cutting it anywhere even near the level of the existing drain (again, if it's a direct overboard drain). It's not uncommon for them to get clogged and then the locker starts to fill up. Other than that, it's just cutting - which is super easy.

Adding a fresh water wash down

Sure, absolutely. If you're comfortable with basic plumbing and electrical it's a very straight forward job. Todd is a big supplier of tanks - as noted above, easy to find. But... how often would you use it? Do you have easy access to fill it? You'll want to use it up regularly and refill...

30’ to 36’ boat owners with transom mounted transducers, I need your help

I wonder if Chris has different trailer setups than we generally do here in the States. Chris, we generally setup our trailers so that no rollers/bunks extend past the transom - and there is a "bow stop" so the boat physically can't go any further. There are some cases where our bunks extend...

    bracket replacement

What do you mean by a "4-stroke bracket"? The bracket has no clue and doesn't care if it's an oil burner or not :) Now, if you mean "weight-wise"... go boating - you're good!

    Bottom blasted

$1,350 and they came to you? I'd write that check any day of the week!

30’ to 36’ boat owners with transom mounted transducers, I need your help

Just a side note... size of the boat has nothing to do with this, at all. All the transducer cares about is smooth water flow. This is easy enough to figure out just by looking at the hull vs the engines, tabs, strakes and any other thru-hulls you already have. As long as you are about a...

    Winter Battery Charging

What are the specs of that charger? It is also a "maintainer" with float/maintenance profiles? Check the owner's manual or look on PM's website/call them. I suspect it will be fine - but do your due diligence and double check. Are your 4 batteries in 2 banks with 2 batteries in parallel for...

    sail fish 25 electrical schematic

It's been almost a month since the OP asked the question and he hasn't responded yet. Maybe he was using the wrong schematic and electrocuted himself...

I don't remember that happening before... but yes, same thing here. Just click on the gear icon for an advanced search.

    Changing colors

Is it possible to paint a car? :) You can either re-spray with new gel or paint it. Another option is wrapping it - although I don't know how durable that is?

    2003 Chase 263 helm modification

Those handles are simply thru-bolted - access the underside for the nuts. Looking at your picture, you likely have a couple options. 1) As noted above about removing the electronics tub. 2) On the port side, remove that small cubby below the handle... is there another cubby on the stbd side...

    Steering is Stiff

Oh, yes. In fact, I've been in contact with a very helpful person there over the last couple days - both with getting part numbers for a new system and also the old, obsolete part numbers for things like cylinder glands/seals... in hopes of finding it on the web somewhere (if needed). He also...

    Steering is Stiff

Thanks, Chris. I'll still go back and double check all of my work before just replacing, of course! I'll stick with Seastar if I go new - their customer service has always been really good. I can't speak to the other's customer service as I have never tried... but I like sticking with...

    Steering is Stiff

When I flushed and bled, I used (wasted on purpose!) probably something like 4+ quarts. As noted, it did get better... but it's still not right. I am 100% confident it's bled properly. Pressure gauge... interesting. I like that. That should tell me if there's an issue with the pump.

    Steering is Stiff

Yup, I get that! Understood on the rest. I have hoses, not copper lines.

    Steering is Stiff

No, as I (tried to explain, anyways :) ) above, it's even stiff at idle... and has gotten worse over time. It's not a fin thing - there's something "wrong" somewhere.

CAD files for 2005 Gulfstream deck

IF it's available, your only source is going to be to contact GW directly. But, it's very easy to make templates of decks - you can get construction paper on a roll at Home Depot - tape it down and use a crayon on its side to trace the non-skid. Perfect match. Personally, I would trust this...
