    Trim tabs

It depends on you and your boating needs/preferences. No, you "shouldn't" get them - but maybe you "should". More details about what you want/need the boat to do would help.

    T-top for GW Seafarer 22

No, it may not. Not everything in this world is "click click" :) Look closer - they have options that can fit just about any boat.

    T-top for GW Seafarer 22

Atlantic Towers is a good source for an economical, but good top.

    Water coming in scuppers

Aw, don't feel bad - we all get old at some point :)

    Water coming in scuppers

Is it actually coming in via the scuppers or is it leftover rainwater because the boat is listing slightly to stbd with your current weight distribution? Where were your scuppers compared to the waterline with the old engine? Is there also water in your bilge? That could add quite a bit more...

    Docking Cleats

If things are missing, you'd have to take the bolt and measure it up to a new nut. We'd only be guessing - especially since it's 4 decades old and may have even been replaced. It's more likely they are just loose - tighten them.

83 seaferor complete rebuild and upgrades

Part of the benefit of forums like this is discussing and learning new things - which I always enjoy. With that in mind, can you explain how those side lights offer the correct visibility when mounted vertically - including NOT being seen to the opposite side of the bow and also the required...

2004 GW Marlin 300 fluid reservoir question

Yes - the trim tab pump wouldn't be "a hose" as originally stated. It would, of course, be two hard plastic tubes. Does your owner's manual have schematics of what items/accessories are located where?

83 seaferor complete rebuild and upgrades

Do you happen to have any other pictures of the build?

83 seaferor complete rebuild and upgrades

Frog eyes :) But, no, if those are side lights - which they look like they are - they are illegal. So this is definitely a safety issue. As I mentioned above, they won't satisfy the required visibility spec. Look back at your notes from when you took a safe boater's class - it's in there ;)

    Yamaha water pump

Excellent point! Yes, I did. I was TRYING to forget about that! ;) Had to destroy the lower unit to get it off. In my case, the bolts were OK - it was the shaft that was seized.

    Yamaha water pump

While top quality impellers like Yamaha, Mercury, etc can last a long, long time... they are still made of rubber and eventually rubber will fail. What you DON'T want to happen is for a piece of a vane to break off and make a clog somewhere in the water cooling passageways. At 13 years old, it...

Possible Spun Hub PowerTech 4 Blade

I think you should have put this info in your first post! :) With that info, it brings us around to a spun hub as the most likely cause.

Where's the Wood in 94 Spirit Transom

Sure! If, however, you are looking for some projects to do... and assuming the wood is good... some preventative maintenance would be to reseal any of the penetrations into the transom such as the transducer, cable ties, etc, etc. Take a real good look at the brass motor well drain tubes, too...

Where's the Wood in 94 Spirit Transom

No, of course you're not going to actually "see" the wood. What Hookup is talking about is that you should (with many boats, anyways) be able to see where the wood stops by looking at the inside transom wall. You'll see a change in the glass layup. A few simple 1/8" exploratory holes on the...

    Deck pump out cap 330

You can clean the threads up and re-use it... coat them with something like Perfect Seal (by Mercury) or Tef-Gel and that will keep future corrosion at bay. And/or... even if you're not doing pump-outs too often, make it part of your monthly maintenance to remove the cap - some simple grease...

Possible Spun Hub PowerTech 4 Blade

I have no experience with those, but... just thinking out loud... Spinning a hub is 100% related to the amount of load put on it. The biggest load on a prop is the hole shot. Since it's not spinning there, I don't think the issue is the hub. But go ahead and match-mark the bug to the prop...

    Fresh water tank filling issues.

It's pretty easy to see the vent hole in the deck hole - it will make sense once you look at it. Even if you can't shove the hose in past it, just take notice as you fill and avoid the vent hole. Now, if the vent line has a low spot in it, then it's filled with water and will need to be...

    Fresh water tank filling issues.

Based on what you wrote here... since water backs up in the hose and stays there, the tank is either full or there is a major blockage. Or you're using the wrong hole to put the water hose into :)
