    Axle repaired!

If you have replaced the entire brake assembly and they are still locking up, the only thing left that could be a problem is the actuator (which is not releasing if they are locking up going forward) or the reverse solenoid (if they are locking up going backward). A new actuator is $300 or so...

Pretty sure they upped the max HP on that hull from 250 to 300 about 5 years ago.

How much abuse can my canvas take?

I think if you trailer it with it deployed you may very well learn an expensive lesson. Roll the curtains up and secure them. My bimini is stored, and, if I'm going more than about 30 minutes on the highway, folded down into the cockpit of the boat. Not going to take a chance on it getting...

    Old GW questions

Remember too that there was a gap for several years where the 192 wasn't made. GW made the 185 Tournament and the 205 Tournament. The 192 was brought back and lives on, even today. What part of the country are you in?

New guy with a new (to me) 222 Fisherman

Looks good....I will own a 209 and/or a 222 at some point. As long as the powerhead is OK, the exhaust repair can be done for $1700-$1800 or so. And then you will have the piece of mind of knowing it's good to go. As for electronics, what was current last year is obsolete this year. Or -...

    Old GW questions

Neither one of those is a SeaV2. Find a newer one. They are out there and for the same money you can find a late 90s boat with a 150 OX66.

    How to repair this??

Looks good...only suggestion would be to use 4200 over 5200. If you have to ever remove the bracket, you stand a far better chance of removing 4200.

    Slow fuel leak?

Why don't you remove the sender and look into the tank? If the tank has fuel in it, the sender may be bad. It's also possible that your fill/vent/supply hoses are leaking due to ethanol.

What's the deal... A story of two boats and vinyl

I want to get some bow back bolsters...let me know how the outfit in Columbia does. The couple of places here in ATL that do upholstery and either waaaaay backed up or are doing masks now.

    Pre Purchase Question

That’s nothing more than cheap hardware. I’m doing the same on my ‘99 225. There are several good rust stain removal products on the market that will take those marks right off. If everything checks out go boating and do those projects as you go along.

    COVID-19 228G Trailer & Adventure

Lee, you get 17 mpg towing? Or even 14? Impressive. I saw 8.5 running at interstate speeds on the way back.

Another COVID-19 Boat/Trailer Pick up thread

Float-On has been around for 50+ years. Normally I go with Owens/Slide-On but they had shut down due to COVID-19 and - although they have since reopened, at the time they didn't know how long they would be closed. Additionally, the boat was in Stuart and Vero was right on the way. Shout out...

Another COVID-19 Boat/Trailer Pick up thread

In honor of Lee's trip to LA to get his new trailer, I figured I'd share my trip to pick up the new to me 225 Tournament. I sold the last one back in March and, while looking for a 209, came across another 225 that was too good of a deal to pass up. Sea trial and check out came back...

    Windlass on tournament 225

I'm on my 2nd 225 Tournament with a Windlass. The previous one had a windlass on a fiberglass pulpit. The current one has the anchor in a bow roller with no pulpit. In both cases the windlass sits just in front of the anchor locker and feeds directly into it. I can open the anchor locker and...
