fuel water separator for Gulfstream twin 200 Yamaha's

I learned a long time ago that it’s easy to miss a battery cable. When I remove them, I take a long zip tie and zip them all together through the lug. When I’m ready to reconnect, I just cut the zip tie.

    Pl-259 connector

I use the Shakespeare solderless crimp connectors all the time. As long as you go slow and crimp the pins slowly and carefully with a pair of pliers, the connectors work just fine. You won’t be able to test your TX power until you get to the coast, but you should be able to receive WX channels...

    Clogged Helm Drain

Funny my port side drain clogs too. I think you can get to the back of it from the inspection port. Bring a flashlight and your contortionist moves. You might also try a plumbers snake and see if you can push through whatever is clogging it.

    248 Voyager Value

OX66s, when properly maintained, will run forever. Sure, they are thirstier and noisier, but they are solid and parts are still readily available.

    Trailering 22 Tournament

As a longtime owner of the 223/225 hulls (several in fact), here's what you need to think about: - It's heavier than you think. If you get it scaled, you will find it's a 5500-6000 lb load. I've towed with a Tahoe (5.3), Yukon (6.2), a 1500 Chevy pickup (6.2) and now an F-150 (5.0) I did tow...

    Hull design

The 248 Voyager became the 258 Journey. For two reasons: -Someone had an issue with GW using the name Voyager as it was trademarked. I want to say it was Chrysler but I don't think that's correct because who would confuse a GW boat with a minivan? -The 248 hull had tucked in trim tabs and...

    Where can I find these?

Boat Outfitters makes some great cupholder assemblies. If I recall, I bought from them for my 180 as the same thing happened on mine. I'd go starboard over stainless though, if it were me. Boat Outfitters can also make the filler piece too if you don't want to take on a cutting project.

New to me Grady White Tournament 19 owner! Info wanted about boat/hull

GW did not switch the 190 Tournament to a 25" transom until 1988. I ran into the same situation many moons ago when I had to repower my '86 190. Wound up going with a 150 Yamaha Pro-V which had a 20" shaft. It also had a crack in one of the heads that had been repaired with JB Weld. To this...

    Which Garmin?

I got an LCX-111 in the 226 with a flush mount panel. Not sure how that unit compares in size with the newer 12” but a check of the dimensions might give you some guidance.

    Price check

What part of the country are you in? Prices will be cheaper in FL. More expensive in the NE. Way more expensive out West.

    Quarantine projects.

My quarantine project will be here no later than Saturday, assuming the trailer is finished by Friday morning. :)

    Tow Vehicles

The boat is gone....soon to be replaced with another 225...but the tow vehicle remains. '18 F150 Lariat SCREW 4x4 5.0 Candidly, if you don't lock out the 8-10 on the tranny, it's a lousy tow vehicle. Make most of it's power at higher RPM ranges. If you can keep the RPMs up it does just fine...

You might check Partsvu.com as well. Sometimes they are a couple bucks cheaper. Boats.net has a huge warehouse here in GA.

Aft cockpit bimini , 1995 Grady Tournament 223

I had it on my recently departed 225. Candidly - it sat in my garage on a peg. It was a hindrance for skiing or tubing, as well as fishing. I can see the value of it for cruising, but for much of how we used the boat, it simply was in the way.

It took a while, but it finally happened.

Back in about '02 or '03, I priced a new 209 with a 200 HPDI. $44K out the door. In about '06, you could buy a 225 Tourney with an F225 for $50K out the door. It will be interesting to see what the market does once we come out on the other side.

    Boat trailer update

Russ....go get it weighed at a truckstop. Easy peasy and about $10 or so. 1.) Pull onto the scale 2.) Get the trailer tires on one panel of the scale and the tongue jack on the adjacent panel. 3.) Unhook the rig from the truck and pull forward off the scale. 4.) Press the button and ask...

    Boat trailer update

Have you considered the Vortex sealed hubs? They don't appear to be all that much more expensive and are guaranteed for 6 years or 100K miles.

    2000 Seafarer Windsheld Wiper replacement

It's an Anco 16" truck blade. I too ordered mine from Amazon. Used to be able to get them from NAPA but I believe they discontinued them.

The horn assemblies aren't made anymore. You are better off getting a template made that covers the old hole, and has a cut out for the new oval shaped horn. Check with Boat Outfitters (http://www.boatoutfitters.com) to have one made.
