    seems like the ACR have been around longer, they now have a 10 yr span on the battery and you can change it yourself now too. I was going to get the ACR 2830 but opted to just go with a PLB instead. i am not out greater than 30 miles that much so...

    How about getting it to lake travis to one of the marinas where they can lift it off the trailer and store it while you get the work done. Always easier to be able to work on the trailer without the boat on it

    should be a breaker panel outside the head and over the rear berth area. walk down the companion way and turn around should be on your left.

    i agree i did the math for mine and was like no damn way. I had half that and the boat was all squirrely. that must work for boats under the 20' rule, that is why those placards are only for boats 20 and under.
