    Repowering

If those props are for anything but Suzuki's, they won't work. The Suzuki gear ratios are different. IMO the best part of an Ohio boat is the lack of exposure. The freshwater helps the engines a lot more than the hull. Regardless, I hope it all works well for you. Keep us posted!

    Repowering

Thanks. Hopefully in the next year I'll get my hard top back on and I will be 100%. I just need to lift my garage 3'! Check with Ken at Prop Gods for the Ecos. Back in April Ecos were hard to come by. I ended up having to go used because no one had 23 pitch in stock. You will find they are...

    Repowering

You won't be disappointed. Now go find a pair of eco enertia 22 or 23 pitch props. Your boat will be able to do things you didn't think were possible! In case you are wondering how I know:

    Prop question for F225’s

OFS4s are Ken's go-to for stern heavy boats. To get the most out of them your engines have to be high enough to get part of the blade out of the water - higher than a 3 blade set up. If you don't you will lose efficiency and speed everywhere, but will gain traction. Depending on what you are...

Black water - why in the world would this happen?

Well, the vent was blocked. I pulled the vent line off and paper came out. I didn't have much time to work on that part of the boat this weekend, so all I did was force water back through the line. The toilet bowl has not backed up since. So now the question is whether or not the tank is full of...

275 Hardtop - remove and replace with bimini

    263 Chase

Na. Most of your questions are very model specific. You'll just need to wait for someone to come along and answer. I might be able to answer #5. Those struts can be bought from a number of places. You need to determine the closed length and open length. Lastly you need to make a guess as to how...

Black water - why in the world would this happen?

It baffles me the lack of robustness in marine systems, especially considering the price. Considering this system has been barely used, it is disappointing. Great designs consider the "what if's." Instead it is designed as "someone else's problem."

Black water - why in the world would this happen?

Great points to consider. I wondered about the solids. They didn't have a hose at this pump out to backfill. Had one been available, I would have tried that. I need to check the vent again. That one seems plausible and makes sense. I need to check tank accessibility on the 270. Hopefully it...

Black water - why in the world would this happen?

I appreciate the advice, but the boat is kept indoors. Still the other issue is why would I only be able to extract 2-3 gallons in a 10 gallon tank? The 270 does not have a selector valve. I replaced the flush system last year. I can't remember if the joker valve was new or not. I'd need to look...

Black water - why in the world would this happen?

My 270 holding tank issues still aren't over. Last year we couldn't pump out the holding tank and ended up sucking out the float switch. After clearing that out of the line, all the the ick came out. Fast forward to the present: only 2 people used the head this year - just water. Both opened...

    265 first ocean run

Yes, it is a 270. Zero tabs. I'm beyond pleased with my set up. It far outperforms the factory Yamaha set up from 2005 and also current Yamaha performance bulletins on the 275 Freedom. Yamaha needs to make better props, or Grady should at least consider using Merc props on the Yamahas. My...

    265 first ocean run

Curious to know if you guys are able to get the freakish performance out of your df200's with 4 blades as I am with eco enertia's. The outter harbor has a 10 mph speed limit wake or no wake. With a light load I was planing at 9 mph, 2.8 mpg. My fuel economy is so good across the board that it is...

    Polypropylene glue/adhesive question

For the record, I made no claims to its performance, other than it did glue 2 parts together.:)

    Polypropylene glue/adhesive question

I have used the 2 part Loctite Plastic Bonding System on polyethylene. It claims to work with polypropylene too.

Toe In or Toe Out for Twin Engine Applications

I have no experience with a 330, but just went through the same process on our 270 based on Ken's advice. On the 270 with 4 cylinder Suzukis and Eco Enertia's he was dead on. I started out neutral and performance was great, but would lose bite if I trimmed up more than half the range or turned...

    Test Ride-GW235

As popular as that boat is and considering your location, I would think a dealer or 2 would have one available for a ride if no one here offers.

    Grady White 258 Journey

We ran much lighter than you with our 248 and could hit 46 lightly loaded with only a 225 ox66. I would think your boat would never struggle to get out of the hole regardless of weight.
