    Kerr Lake NC

Yeah nice variety of fish. I don't know that specific lake, but I do travel to NC once a year and have good friends out there. Pretty mild climate year round from what they say. I get ya wanting to migrate out of the winter cold. The best way to explore your option is just what your doing...

Delaminated Bulkhead and Painted Trim Completed

None of the big box stores stock it or ship anymore. I'm guessing too expensive to transport, and/or not enough small scale consumer demand? Plan B LOL

Delaminated Bulkhead and Painted Trim Completed

Thank you Ky Grady, SirGrady226, and DennisG01 !! Will be updating this thread as it comes along. Too bad the bigger projects I did a few years back on her, I did not take the time to document for others down the road. Today was sanding, gluing split trim pieces, and priming. Still figuring...

Delaminated Bulkhead and Painted Trim Completed

While my '87 Seafarer is at the shop getting the bottom paint removed, I just pulled the helm trim and doors and bulkheads which were rotting to the core. Going to see how much it will cost for Starboard in 3/4" using my old cutouts as templates. I don't want pure white, and I don't see the...

2004 282 gas caps to main and aux tank location

Dennis, I believe that is correct. The fill/vent lines are plumed closest to their corresponding tanks. Grady would not have the lines crossing over each other. There just isn't enough space, and fill lines are not cheap as you know. The trick is figuring out the locations of main vs...

2004 282 gas caps to main and aux tank location

Seems there are many different configurations, depending on model and year. My 87 228G has main tank up front, and aux was in the rear as an option. Exact opposite of Ky's. Why not reach out to Grady and ask them with your year/hull KLH? They are superb with customer service.

    Hull Repair Thoughts

You got great advice on previous responses. My 1978 228G is currently in a shop that is removing the bottom paint for aesthetic reasons. My boat had minor damage to the keel and strakes that went down to the top fiberglass layer, damaged from my cheap Venture roller trailer and a difficult boat...

    Trollmaster Pro

Marinetech Panther 55-2700 Trolling Motor Tie Bar Kit is what I used to connect the two motors. There's a 1/2" stainless rod that connects the 2 engines and works with the existing SeaStar HC5445 cylinder on my 228G. I REALLY wanted the pricey Teleflex SeaStar Kicker Cable Tie Bar, but...

    Trollmaster Pro

Used to fish out of Half Moon Bay for salmon and lingcod, and in the SF Bay depending on the season. It's nice to have a second motor to get back in should something happen out there. Good set up.

    Trollmaster Pro

Plus one on the iTroll. I also stayed away as it wasn't sold through big box stores. I'm currently on my second throttle servo, I use the kicker 90% of the time on the water. That was ingenious adding an hour meter on your kicker. I still have 1 year left on my kickers warranty, I think they...

    Trollmaster Pro

Installed a new TrollMaster Pro on my helm to run my Honda 9.9 High Thrust kicker motor. It controls the engine throttle, so I can set it to the trolling speed I want and focus on driving the boat, and has a few cool features that make life easier upfront. Wiring it into the motor as stealthy...
