yes, the boat definitely runs faster. Runs great at cruise and does as well or better on fuel. I cruise at 34-35 mph @4200 rpm.

I have not tries them, but we decided to put two more rod holders on the gunwales. Decided cup holders should be cup holders and rod holders are rod holders. We now have four up each side of our 282, three vertical up the top, and five across the top. oh...and one on the transom. :)

On our 2007, we thought we had the same issue and discovered Fridge was AC/DC...Grady failed to hook up the AC portion. We pulled power to it and it works great on shore power.

You want to call A&J Canvas in Vanceboro, NC. They made the original curtain for Grady and have all the dimensions by model and year. (252) 244-1509 . We replaced ours a few years back. You will have to do your own snaps on the curtains to get the proper fit once you get them.

Abassador or Scanvik will fit. I just replaced mine with an Ambassador galley faucet instead of the pullout. I also replaced the head faucet.

We put the Seadek in the helm area, but I don't think I would ever want it in the cockpit. Keeping the fiberglass deck clean is much easier especially after a good day of fishing. Having the Seadek in the helm is very nice.

The key is you used to get to 5500 with no problem. Sounds like something else is impacting your performance. I would look at your cruise speed and rpm and compare to what you used to run. I am assuming the props are still in good shape. I would say you were propped pretty good if you used to...

If you are going with a pair of Garmin's like 8612 , you will only need one xsv model paired with a standard unit as when networked will work the same on both units. We actually have the 10 inch screens (7610) which work just fine. if you went to a 10 inch screen pair, you would save a couple...
