    Roller or Bunk Trailer?

Get a custom Owens and call it a day. You can't get better customer service. My BIL locked up his calipers on a keys trip (his fault) and we took the brakes off half way down. Called Owens and they sent us replacement parts to our rental free of charge. I had mine built and I picked up my...

    Roller or Bunk Trailer?

All depends on your ramp and tides. If you see a roller trailer in Florida they are on vacation ;)

    Any older yamaha pros?

I bought the CDI tester that plugs into the meter for a 115 Yamaha that I had on my little boat. Going through the testing procedure I found that only 2 plugs were firing. I thought I bought a refurb unit.

    Props

Trimming the engine isn't going to give you another 10MPH, but you may gain the RPMs. Are you 33kts or MPH? 33knts and a small adjustment will bring you into the 40mph range.

    Props

That speed seems like it if off by a lot. I hit 44 with the original '93 225 and I'm a little above that with a 300 Zuke but need another prop as I'm only hitting 5500. What hole on the motor are you using? Do you have bottom paint?

    2002 33 Express with Yamahas 300 ???

Suzuki has 2 250's. The one with electronic controls is bigger and the same as the 300. That version is a electronically detuned Zuke 300. The Zuke with mechanical controls is a smaller motor and a true 250.

Recent 228 and pressure washer OK?

As a kid I unloaded and cleaned commercial fishing boats. The first time I mixed those 2 things together I was verbally abused for a bit. People have died cleaning fix boxes with that mixture. Be careful.

    Compass oil

Mine has a very slow leak. I bought the overpriced Ritchie fluid from West Marine. It's about a 10min job. I used a small plastic syringe to fill.

    Wicked Tuna

I come from a commercial fishing family so it's hard for me to watch that stuff. My god fathers family was one of only a few that could purse seine giant BF's. They would follow them from Mass. through the PC and over to San Diego. My dad worked on the boat for a handful of years and got his...

    Replacing Bunks on trailer

I would stick with cypress bunks if you can find a good trailer shop.

Anchoring off the stern in the GOM is very popular for the grouper diggers weather permitting.

    New fishfinder/gps shopping

I would go with the Garmin 94sv Plus ($799) or the 7" version. If the UHD models come down ($1100ish) that would be even better.

    Transom damage 272???

Doesn't seem like a lot going on there. Just some general maintenance going by the pics. - Cleanup the trim pump on the motor. - Replace the hose from the seacock and lube the seacock. - Cover your terminals with the boots on the batteries. - Check your thruhull fittings. If they are sun...

    New fishfinder/gps shopping

Simrad will have better chart options, but other than that I would stick with Garmin. They are currently changing models again. West Marine had the 94sv plus on sale for $799. I would assume the 7" is a couple hundred bucks cheaper. Down side is that you can't overlay radar if you want that option.

    Grady White Gulfstream Cobia Tower

I don't even need it to have a second station. Just a spot to hang out and spot tarpon, Cobia and a better vantage for offshore blackfin. Would like it to fold aft.

    New to Grady White!

The trend is a much sleeker look, but I don't think you would want to do this unless you only go up front only when its glass.
