They are full cushions....not covers...all you have to do is add snaps....they intentionally leave them off so you can line them up with the snaps on your chairs. Any GW dealer can order them...I use Vero Marine for my parts orders. GW had them in stock and they were dropped shipped directly...

    Cockpit cover for 208 Adventure

They offered a cockpit cover as a factory option, but it only comes as far back as the baitwell/storage boxes behind the pedestals. To get a "full" cockpit cover, you are going to have to go custom.

Towing The Seafarer 228 With Chev Tahoe

Your Tahoe likely has the "Tow/Haul" button on the gear shifter. Switch it on. If your Tahoe is pre-2009 and has the "PRND321" then switching to "3" instead of "D" will lock out the torque converter. If your Tahoe is newer and has the "PRNDM" then leave it in "D".

New Radio Needed - Any recommendations?

You do have redundancy with the 1700 in terms of two GPS units. When you connect the GPS to the 1600, the display looks exactly like the display on the 1700. I get the same GPS coordinates, time, speed over ground, course over ground, etc... Kudos to you Zimm for teaching your guests what to...

Towing The Seafarer 228 With Chev Tahoe

Z82 is the RPO code for the trailer hitch and 7 way wiring connection on the back. K5L is the RPO code for the "Heavy Duty Trailering Equipment Package" which includes the 3.42 gears and the oil cooler. It also includes the 2-speed transfer case on 4WD models. Big Fish On - based on the codes...

New Radio Needed - Any recommendations?

If you are going to wire it in with the terminal block, save yourself $50 and get the GX1600. It's the same radio minus the built in GPS. And once you connect the wires, it functions exactly like the 1700 with the built in GPS.

Towing The Seafarer 228 With Chev Tahoe

3.08 gears have been standard through the last body style. 3.42 were part of the towing package last time around as well as in the new body. It's been awhile since 3.73 or 4.10 gears were available in a Tahoe or Yukon. You can thank the EPA for that.

Towing The Seafarer 228 With Chev Tahoe

I towed that boat with that exact vehicle....if your Tahoe has the towing package and 3.42 gears it will do just fine. My 223 doesn't weigh much less and I'm towing currently with both a 5.3 Tahoe and 6.2 Denali. I pulled it from DE to GA with the 5.3. Averaged around 8 mpg running 65-70.

    228 Prop help needed

My prop slip calculator shows 9% at 6K RPM and 44 MPH. The 3.3 F250 has a 2:1 ratio gearcase...the others are 1.86:1 9% is actually pretty good. You might try a Mirage Plus to get a bit more lift and pick up a mile or two on the top end. Otherwise, I think you are dialed in pretty good. For...

New Radio Needed - Any recommendations?

My terminal block is mounted to the back of the flush mount panel using 3M Outdoor Double Stick Tape. It's not going anywhere. Or, you can use the stick on zip tie holders as shown in the pic securing the wiring. Run a zip tie through the screw hole. Either way it's firmly in place.

New Radio Needed - Any recommendations?

The GX1700....with built in GPS...is nice...BUT....it won't display DSC calls (or AIS for that matter if you upgrade to the 2150/2200) unless you connect it back to the GPS. Pick up a terminal block for less than $5 in Radio Shack. It makes it easy to connect the tiny NMEA wires.

    Wiper blade solution

Interesting.... My wiper arm has a different piece at the end. The bracket which goes on the blade looks the same as yours. However, it also has a screw which protrudes up and the arm has a loop at the tip. The screw goes through the loop and is secured with a cap nut. The 52-16 came with...

    Grady White Fuel Tank

Exact matches. Only thing is they came without snaps installed but not a big deal as I have a snap tool. I also took the opportunity to take the seats apart and replace the "slide glides"....good as new now. photo.JPG by parthery, on Flickr

    Wiper blade solution

Joe, Were you not able to unscrew the cap nut....remove the wiper blade from the arm, then remove the nut and bolt that holds the clip assembly to the blade? Can you post a pic? I'm wondering if you had a non-standard setup from the previous owner....

    Captains chair wobbles

Update on this...I had to replace the "slide glides"...essentially pieces of plastic on each side of the slider portion of the seat base. It's apparently a common issue...I got the parts from Vero Marine but they are readily available on the Internet. Only downside is you have to literally...
