    Newbie washdown question

The lines may be clogged. Disconnect them at the pump and blow them out.

    Tournament 205 trailer bunk setup

Don't have the measurements, but I found a pic from the 205 I owned a few years ago. You can tell from here that the bunks should go just inside the outer strake. If you are referring to the Loadmaster in Tampa, they make a decent trailer....I've owned couple of them.

how far off are these motor results

Your numbers are off....could be any number of things. I've owned both a '98 225 with a 200 Carb'ed SWS and a '99 223 with a 225 OX66. Both were 42 MPH boats at WOT throttle (5400-5500 RPM). I'd do the following... 1.) Make sure the bilge is dry and you aren't carrying around a bunch of...

    Fuel Gauge

What year is your 208? If it's newer and powered by a Yamaha four stroke after 2005 or so, you are better off getting the fuel management piece hooked up and watching the number of gallons you have used. GW fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate. I'll agree with Seasick in that one bar left...

    Livewell push button breaker

As I recall, the livewell pump is a bilge pump on top of a seacock. As long as you can close the seacock, it's not a big deal to replace the pump. If you got 14 years out of it, you did well.

HELP Me choose the right Grady!!!!

That '02 on Boat Trader is actually a 223 and not a 225...it's also got a 200 HPDI, not a four stroke. The 2003 - 2014 225 Tournament/Freedom hull has not changed in 11 years. All the changes have essentially been cosmetic....dashboard...cushions....moving the rear fold down bench to the side...

    Fuel Sender Question - Journey 258 (2008)

They aren't typically accurate....if your motor(s) are 2008 vintage then you can get fuel consumption data on your multifunction screen via NMEA 2000. Use the gallons burned to have a better idea of how much fuel you have. My last two GWs would get to one bar pretty quickly...stay there for...

motor hard to start, then quick burst of smoke

If the motor is in gear, it won't start (assuming your neutral safety switch is working...) There is a link and sync procedure that sometimes needs to be done on these motors to make sure that everything is tight and opening/closing at the proper time. Your motor may need this.... More than...

    Repower - opinions

You are adding another 100+ lbs and the F225 was not Yamaha's strongest motor. Is there an issue with the existing 250 OX? Those were good motors...

    Fish finder/navigation

If you are reasonably handy with basic power tools it's not a big job to install one. The toughest part of the job typically is running the transducer wire from the transom/bilge area up to the dash. GW includes a PVC pipe or two under the floor and you will have to use a plumbers snake to get...

Cruise report from Georgetown to Little River Inlet

Good report.... Isn't that a new trailer? You shouldn't have had a bearing failure...I'd check the other 3 wheels....

Instead of snakes on plane- ants on a boat

Clean the boat with Spray Nine. There is something in it that kills them on contact and keeps them away...and everything will smell fresh and clean.

What to put on rusty bimini supports?

Have you tried Flitz and a buffing ball on your drill? That should take it off.

    1997 208

Call another dealer. In the last month I've purchased seat hardware and cushions for my 1999 GW 223. The parts are available from GW for the seats. I deal with Vero Marine on parts and they were drop shipped directly from GW. The bolsters can be done locally...it's cheaper that way.

    2005 Grady White 208 : new f200i4 + trailer + elec + ...

Not sure if you want to "import" a trailer from the US, but there are several manufacturers here that can build a trailer which meets your foreign specs, and fit the boat perfectly. All you will have to do is set the boat on it and it will fit like a glove. These manufacturers include Owens...

    sea water in bilge

Replace the O-rings on the 2 inspection ports in the motor well. I find that water which enters the well while backing down frequently gets past the screw out covers and into the bilge. Also - remember that the two cupholders in the stern drain directly into the bilge. If your washdown spray...

    Yamaha Trim Gauge Doesn't Work

I don't think your motor has a cam for the sender....the 3.1 225s and 250s use a different bracket from the 150-200 (2.6) block. Mine doesn't have one either. Also, the 2000 "bracket 2" breakdown on the Yamaha parts fiche shows the sender, but doesn't show a cam. I'll look at mine tonight and...

    Yamaha Trim Gauge Doesn't Work

It's one of two things...either the tip of the arm is broken off and no longer making contact with the motor arm, or the cam which the tip is supposed to touch is missing. I'm not sure what year your motor is...some have the cam....some don't. If yours has the cam and it's missing, it's a $15...

    Cockpit cover for 208 Adventure

Not sure what GW charges for the factory cover, but my guess is the local guy making you one out of Sunbrella will be competitive. Here is what mine looks like....because it was custom made, he was able to use the existing snaps on the windshield (already there for the front and side curtains)...
