New Grady White 208 owner with few winch/hardware qn's

Welcome aboard... The 175 SW is a bulletproof motor..if you can keep the RPMS under 4000 or so, the fuel economy is tolerable...open it up and it gets thirsty.

    ICOM 504 reception issues

Sounds like the radio went to The big electronics scrap heap in the sky. You might spend $10 for another connector and replace it again, but my guess is its time to go radio shopping. Maybe a S/H with built in AIS?

Congrats....the 22 is my favorite GW hull design....I loved my Seafarers....and feel the same about the 225. Rides like a boat that is bigger than 22'

    Trim tabs Overnighter.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it... I'm curious who quoted you $900 installed...I was playing around with the idea of adding them to my 225...quotes were higher than $900.

Bilge Pump Access - Live Well Removal 228 Seafarer

There should be six screws around the top of it that will need to be removed. You will also need to cut the caulk with a razor blade, and disconnect both the drain hose and livewell fill hose, if applicable. Depending on how much play is in your hoses, you may be able to work it loose and lift...

New to forum, new Grady White Owner! (Pics Added)

Congrats....my first GW was an '86 190 Tournament with a 150 Johnson... To answer your questions, the jumpseats were one piece backed cushions that sat where your teak seats are...they look nice. The brackets under the motor well are the storage holders for your bimini top. It should fit...

Trailer choices ( old question I guess )

The listed weights DO NOT include the hardtop....they are a dry hull only. Figure about 450 lbs for the hardtop. A 6000 capacity trailer will be fine....a 6000 GVW trailer is probably not big enough.... JiminGA has his 228 on a Wesco trailer....if I recall he has the 5900 lb capacity model...

Trailer choices ( old question I guess )

I had a 226 that weighed over 6600 lbs on the scale, including 900 for the trailer. This was with a half tank of fuel. Between the 2, I'd go Wesco. But, if you are near FL, call Owens and Sons (Aluminum Slide On) at 727-323-1088. They will build a custom trailer for the boat for the same money.

speedometer/fuel gauge partially quit one me...

You probably picked up a piece of trash which clogged the hole on the front of the lower unit that acts as the pitot tube. Because trip and econ are related to speed (and for that matter - distance), they quit working too. The flow reading gets its info from the ECU, so no issue there. Look...

First day out and poop!! '99 OX66 Issues

Sounds like what happened to me... The only way to cure it is to drain the tank, the lines, replace all the filters, and start over. You need to figure out how so much water got in there...in my case it was the o-ring on the fuel fill cap.

Ocnslr can probably speak knowledgably about this...if I recall his Islander originally had a single 250...he repowered with F150s....
