    Broken Bait Station Drain

Definitely 2 piece, probably a flat washer, or caulk on top, and a threads and a nut on the bottom. Do you know if it is straight or elbow? If this repair gives you access to both, I would replace both.

How much was the invoice? That will give a good idea of the extent of the repair.

How shallow can GW 235 freedom go

Grady specs lists the "Hull draft" at 20 inches. I don't think that accounts for how far the prop and skeg hang down below the hull. How shallow it will go depends on how hard you are willing to run aground.

How much bottom paint on your Seafarer?

Had a rainy Monday morning, so I was able to tie the boat up on the marina ramp undisturbed for 4 hours. Using scotch bright green pads, on a 4 foot Swiffer mop type sanding stick, and a 5 inch plastic taping knife, I was able to scrub and scrape 97% of the grit and barnacles off. At 73, I'm...

    Broken Bait Station Drain

I have never seen a sink with the drain cast, or molded, in as one piece, so I would think that it is a separate plumping part. But......, there are a lot of things I still haven't seen.

How much bottom paint on your Seafarer?

I like the look also, and I’ve never painted a boat bottom. But, I retired in March, spend more time at my house at the coast, and the boat stays in the slip longer. Taking it out after eight days tomorrow, and with this warm water, I am a little apprehensive about what I will be faced with. I...

How much bottom paint on your Seafarer?

I have a 2000 Seafarer, which has never been bottom painted. A neighbor, cleaning out his garage, just gave me a full quart of Pettit odyssey HD in black, so that is a $100 head start. Paint was bought this year. Comments on the prep, paint, and the quantity needed?

330 Express hard top rocket launchers

Plenty of threads on here, if you search “rocket launcher“. If you end up having one custom made, maybe consider having a third mounting pad in the center to support the center rigger.

2 Rescued from the water in Boston Harbor - GW sinks

The rocks would almost certainly be wet and slippery, judging by the algae growing on them, unless it was dead calm and high tide, and possibly sharp barnacles as well. Safest move may have been to get away from them. Harbor Master‘s boat had some sort of drop-down ramp in the bow, but it seems...

2 Rescued from the water in Boston Harbor - GW sinks

I think of swamped as being mostly submerged but maintaining what is referred to as level flotation. The officer said that when they got on scene, the only thing visible was a small tip of the boat, which makes me think it was hanging engines down. I wouldn’t leave a swamped boat for a bucket...

How to embed videos in posts?

posted this link as a test only. You could create a YouTube channel for your trip, and post a link here, or anywhere else. There may be a way to do it directly here, but I have tried in the past unsuccessfully.

    Filling Freshwater Tank....WTF?

I know it’s an old thread, but I had the same problem filling my tank on my 2000 Seafarer today, and every other time I have filled it. I usually just shove the hose in while I am doing something else, and it eventually burps its way full. Today, I stayed with it, and I have not yet verified it...

    Cleaning the head properly

So, your head has a raw water intake. Fresh or salt primarily? If I were going to the trouble of emptying and cleaning the tank after every use, I would go ahead and find a space somewhere for 5 or 10 gallons of fresh water, which should be plenty for a day or 3 trip, and convert to fresh water...

Wanted: OEM Hardtop Rod Holders/Rocket Launcher for Gulfstream.

OEM is not always the best choice, if they only give you 4 or 5 rod holders, when you might have room for 6 or 8. Plenty of discussion here: https://www.greatgrady.com/search/1379438/?q=rocket+launcher&o=date Add your location to your profile.

    seat covers

Are you looking to replace the cushions, or cover them? "Seat covers" takes me back to the '50's and '60's, and terry cloth seat covers to keep from burning our ass on hot seats. At one point, until some of the older siblings went off to college, there were as many as 9 of us crammed into old...

To fat or bad design? Maybe Both!

Just about everyone with a walk around style boat has the same complaint. Most of the GW seats have armrests that are bolted to the bottom of the seats. Not really clear what the solution is that you are proposing, but I would start with removing one arm rest at a time, until I had enough room...
