I have a 2000 hardtop.... I just removed a cd radio that had approximately 2in screws going through the bracket into about a 1/2in piece of starboard and then into the hardtop. I can measure the screw length exactly, if needed.

Don’t worry about the labels, mine are labeled and every time I flip the wrong one. Between the wash down vs water pressure pump, I just have my daughter stand by the freshwater wash down and see which of the two turn it on...

Not sure about other units but i just pulled out my old ones and they had external gps like yours. My 2 new units didn’t as it looks like it’s integrated in the unit already. Just check to see if there is anything spliced to them as you may lose functionality as a result.
