    2021 Adventure 208 Build

Depending on your location, they have web sales products/ business and in person. When speaking with them, they seem to have more options available if you go to there store from a customization perspective. I ordered a starboard panel. Pretty amazing turnaround...Ordered 9pm on a Sunday and...

    228 Livewell Support Arm

Just be aware of the prices plus shipping. That’s why I ended up buying on eBay from a marina I believe in SC. $23 for the 625-3-40 (little more lbs) $28 for the 625-2-50...

    228 Livewell Support Arm

No problem.... It could be how the strut is installed on yours. My livewell wouldn’t close if I had the 625-3 because it compresses to 7 not 5 or so. I would need to movewhere it attaches to

    228 Livewell Support Arm

The livewell goes completely vertical using the 625-2. However, I think the two latches behind the seats would not go up all the way using it because the positioning is not the same. I can take a pic of what it looks like the next time I am by the boat. The 625-3 goes to 10in and I think...

    228 Livewell Support Arm

Sorry for not clarifying... This was for the livewell between the two stern seats.... I believe you need 625-3-45 which is what others buy...Think the same marina is selling 5lbs less... might be worth a try for the cost difference...

    Rigging transducer cable

I didn’t use any lubricant to snake the wires I did last week. Fish tape worked great but the contents of what is already in the pvc pipes will limit what you can do. I was able to snake 2 8awg plus an nmea cable but think I’m limited out between the two pipes... Probably running my two...

    228 Livewell Support Arm

Thanks for all the help with the gas struts...I ended up buying one with slightly less strength due to shipping costs, plus was about 10-15 less than the 55lb I just installed today and it worked...$28 for shipping and all...

    Anchor Chain re ACCO

Is G30 ok? HD and Lowe’s had that by me.... Think they only had zinc, nothing galvanized but I need to check again. My boat is kept in saltwater so want to make sure the chain doesn’t quickly rust out. back to the drawing board as WM sold out of that chain I was looking at. Your right about...

    Anchor Chain re ACCO

Since my 228 only came with 4ft of chain from the prior owner, I am looking to replace this. Has anybody used ACCO branded chain? Saw I can get 5/16 for 1.99 a ft on clearance and not sure what I’m missing. Sounded too good to be true. I have no windlass to be concerned about...

    Center Support Needed?

Definitely a 228....what year is the engine

    228 Electronics and dash upgrade

Looking at your pics, any idea how they did that? Did that section of your dash come off and they used that as a form?

    228 Electronics and dash upgrade

That’s awesome, super clean....think someone else here did the same but with black. That would have been my preference if I had repowered and have new gauges. Definitely saving your pic to my collection in case I do repower.

    Center Support Needed?

Typically, yes but the prior owner might have closed off your transom. Pics of the stern might help decipher if it’s a 226 or 228. You can always call Grady and give them your HIN so they can look it up.

    208 Adventure Speaker Placement

KY - Where is the head unit for your speakers? If in the Hardtop, do you have the individual speaker wires running up or the cable from the unit going down? Debating how best to run anNMEA Cable and have basically no room on the starboard side pipe due to the radio and also a radar running...

    Center Support Needed?

Maybe ask the previous owner if there was a reason they put that there. Seems to be different than the rest. What does it connect to at the top? Could it be taking off some of the weight and avoiding it from sagging??

    The shoe dropped (my fault)

Lol....that’s my kind of story. I was waiting to hear that you left your truck and trailer on the ramp! BTW, Are you able to boat year round where you live?

    Routing Starboard

Yes, I keep reading to countersink the screws and to make the pilot holes the size of the screw rather than a size smaller as you would with wood. Ive seen some folks that have used a screw every 2-3 inches and others very spaced apart. My plan is to minimize the holes and see if I can target...

    Routing Starboard

thanks for all the feedback! I’ll be using a handheld and doing the work at my parents since that’s where the boat is. No vacuum system and since my dad is a neat freak, I might be stuck doing the work outside if it’s that messy. The panel should be delivered next week so hoping to tackle...

    Routing Starboard

Thanks! Pretty sure I will take off approximately 1/4 -1/2 from each side except for one where I might need to take an inch. For the one where I will be removing more from the back, is it better to use a straight or rabbet in that scenario? Or a combination of both?
