What should I use to protect the cushions

303 makes cleaners for different applications, they make two specifically for vinyl, one for cleaning one for protecting. I have posted this guy’s article before, it is still a good read. LMorgan I am a marine upholsterer and have been at it for 25 years....Here are some tips: "the other...

    Zipper extends

Might be a long wait for the next hot, sunny day in New Jersey.

    New scuppers

They look good, and the drip lip is nice for preventing stains, but isn't that just the outside piece, and the rest of the fitting is still plastic?

    Zipper extends

Just saw the product that Timcan posted, while I was slow typing. Looks just like what I was describing. How is the height of the canvas? (edit)Looking at their video, I see that the horizontal top zipper gets an Extender also...

    Zipper extends

https://bridgethebump.com/products/adapter-standard The only thing I saw on Google, and the first thing that popped up. You have to search images, to eliminate all the zip code hits. I have never seen one used, and this seems like an expensive alternative. They have taken a cheap coil zipper...

    Tools for cleaning the boat?

Before I went crazy with the chemicals, I would take a big sponge soaked with water, lay it on a flat surface that has sap, and come back in 30 minutes or so, and see if it comes off, either with elbow grease, or with a pressure washer. If it does, I would wait for a good, overnight soaking...

    206g inside drain plug

Sounds like the PVC pipe draining into the aft bilge area. Is there actually a plug in it. Pics?

    New to me 246g

Yes, you will probably need to replace scupper hoses at least. Boats of that age had the rubber hoses with the wire coil, which rust, crack, and get stiff as a board.

Nylon Snap Fasteners for 306 Windshield .

It's easy to make something work there, but it won't look the same. Take a male snap with a threaded stud on it, flat washer, regular nut inside the hole to keep it centered, flat washer on the other side, and a nyloc or cap nut. Would still like to see a pic of a complete one.

Adventure 208 - Adding fishing rod grommets in cabin

I was suggesting just removing that panel, and sticking the rod tips in the anchor locker, if it's an overnight thing. I don't use the J hooks, I stick the tips up in the corners under the hooks, and the reels `diagonally across the cushions. Four each way, in an X pattern. Tackle bag on the...

Adventure 208 - Adding fishing rod grommets in cabin

Don't know how the cabins compare, but I sometimes store 8 seven footers overnight, in the cabin of my 228, just laying on the vee berth. If not anchoring at the same time, you can remove the anchor locker partition, and stick rod tips in there.

    Transom Spider Cracks

I would back off one of the nuts, just to see how tight they are, maybe the mech used an air rachet, instead of a hand rachet. Or use a torque wrench, to see how tight they are. Any cracks around the bottom bolts?

Nylon Snap Fasteners for 306 Windshield .

Never seen that fastener. Can you show us a pic of one in place on the windshield. FWIW, it looks like it pulled out because the snap was corroded together. If there are more, I would put a knife blade between the 2 halves, pop them apart, clean and lube remaining fasteners.

    Anchor Line & Cleat

Unless you mount your windlass on the hatch, to get a better drop, like I did. Then, the windlass bolts are not helping.

1989 204c overnighter cuddy cabin drain

Make sure you raise your lower unit before you jack the front of your trailer as high as you can. Any plug in the drain is most likely from junk flowing from front to back, so if I could access the tubes in the rear, I would try to blow them out towards the front with a water hose. Does anyone...

    Anchor Line & Cleat

That's a good point. When I removed that lifting eye on my previous boat for a windlass, I considered having a nut welded to the bottom of a stainless disk to replace it, but I ended up just removing and covering it. On my current boat, it is still in place, and I am thinking of trying to cover...
