    Shower sump pump ?'s

There is no switch for the sump in the Sailfish. You can reach the float by reaching into the floor hatch in front of the cabin sink This will at least point you in the right direction for troubleshooting if the pump does not turn on.

    State shut downs and marinas

Not that this is by any means a priority, but I was wondering if marinas would be impacted when states go into lock down. Stay safe everyone!

    EPIRB Placement

I was just reading the thread on various EPIR and the pros and cons of each and was wondering for those that have them where do you have the ACR GlobalFIX V4 (EPIRB) Cat II Class 2 type EPIRBS mounted on your boats. There are many times per year I fish outside VHF ranges and should probably be...

    Hey northeast guys

My marina dictates my date and it is always May 1. I find that as tempting as it may be inland it is still pretty darn cold when I get to the boat yard to do spring commissioning.

    Fuel economy query....282 Sailfish...

An interesting discussion - here is comparison of the 2 different pitches and size props. When I got the 4.2L F250 the stainless steel props were on back order for 2 months. I had to use props from F225s and they were 15/1/4 x 19. The performance was not good. I was only able to get top RPM of...

    Fuel economy query....282 Sailfish...

Early in the season with 2 people and lite load. The boat is not made for that speed. The few time I cranked it we hit 51 and the canvas felt like it was going to blow of or shred. I am more than happy with an occasional 40! The speed was measured by the gauge not the GPS so not sure of the...

    Fuel economy query....282 Sailfish...

Yup - 1.6 to 1.7 matches mine with that type of load but with F250s. 6000 RPMs early in the season does about 45 knots

    Generator ?

I remember the first GW I bought was a 1985 Seafarer. The model had a futuristic feature - a gunnel mounted water faucet. The fresh water pump was burned out on day of delivery and I recall the dealer saying. Boats need to be kept simple, the more of this fancy stuff, the more things to repair...
