Howdy Is this an electric pump for the SeaStar hydraulic steering? I can’t seem to find it referenced anywhere.... It is in poor condition and I want to replace it, or have a unit ready when it does die.

George The second topic was my fault sorry. As I mentioned I have removed lots from the port side of my Marlin, water heater, microwave, charger/inverter....all heavy items but it really hasn’t affected the way she sits in the marina.

I’ve had My 99 Marlin for a few years now, put about 300hrs on her, 2x250 OX66 She handles the sea like a dream, just have to trim her right! I trim with engines and only use tabs to level out listing due to wind .... ( though I do have a strange port listing that occurs underway sometimes )...

My 99 sits level, she is basic though...removed the microwave, removed the water heater, no generator no a/c and removed the charger/inverter. The only thing on the port side is the a fridge full of beer.... which empties regularly :dance She does this crazy Port listing underway sometimes...

OCNSIR HAS NAILED IT I concur Just for fun wack both engines in reverse at idle, steering central.....see what happens If she does walk to stb like mine kick stb in fwd for a sec and see how she straightens up but slows... Do the same and kick stb into neutral instead.....same result but...

Yamalube all the way......why change ? They build a good engine and have the backing for continued lube research... I’m happy.

The prop will have a number on the hub, if standard Yamaha saltwater series it will have 19m ( like mine ) or 17m like others. Ken at propgods has pointed me towards the 4 blade Powertech 17” pitch, 15 1/4 diameter.

GDay I’ve been absent from the forum for some time now but have a query for those with a Marlin. I have a 1999 with 250hp OX66’s and 19m stainless Yamaha props. She cruises nicely @27kn 3800rpm but can’t get WOT and she boggs down a bit in a trailing sea. I am considering changing to 17” props...

G-Day I have a 1999 Marlin I was wondering if there are covers available for the drink holders, to stop water draining into bilge Also The cover for the transom fresh water shower needs replacing as this allows water to enter bilge as well Any assistance would be awesome

I'm not sure what type of seacock you have....ball valves cannot be serviced, brass gate ones can, but why not replace such a cheap item that is so vital to the boat staying afloat ..... Personally I would not attempt to replace whilst in the water, you could use a bung to stop the water whilst...
