How do I remove cockpit bolsters, etc?

Pretty easy to remove. On the botto You should see a gromlet with a hole. There is a screw that needs to be removed. There are few on each section. Once these are out slide the bolster up they are actually just hanging on brackets. When I took mine off the brackets were rusted. Grady dealer had...

trip from Cape Cod to Boston

Agree with previous posts - Buzzards Bay can be tough too - do it early and watch the winds - SW are good on the ride from Boston to the canal but they are a killer in buzzards Bay - The Gulfstream can handle it but it will be slow going if BB is acting up.

    gulfstream

The Gulfstream is a great boat - you will never believe you are in a 23 footer - rides and handles like a much bigger - the wide beam makes it great for stability - I had the single engine model and it was a little underpowerd particulary in rough water or with a full crew - the twin 150s will...

Sailfish in tight 3 to 5 foot seas

Guys the whaler stories brought back memories - We had a 1967 13 footer with a 50 mercury (I know it was overpowered but I was 18). We took it from Green Harbor across the bay to Ptown more than once - We had a handheld compass and no electornics - I see the vintage 13 foot whalers around today...

Sailfish in tight 3 to 5 foot seas

I agree with the posts on Sailfish being a blue water boat - I have been out in some pretty crazy water east of Stellwagen Bank and the boat never ceases to amaze me - I have never been in what I consider an unsafe situation with the Sailfish. That is not to say I would mind trading up to a...

230 Gulfstream Fresh Water Tank - how to empty?

The best way to winterize is as described in the earlier posts with anti freeze. If you need to access the pump I believe it is located under the passendger seat. To access you need to remove the built in tackle box - a few screws and the whole cabinet pulls out - on the floor you should see the...
