    Boat plugs

He might have been writing that post and placing his Adam and Eve order at the same time. They are probably wondering what a butt holder is.

    Installing aft bilge pump

Another option is to place the strainer basket where you want it, then use a magnetic extension on your drill to shoot a drywall screw in one hole, to hold it in place. They are so sharp, they penetrate just about anything. Drill and seal your ss screws, replacing the drywall screw with the last...

Need a new vhf, any opinions

All VHF radios sold since 1999 are required to have DSC capabilities, but they are basically useless unless you make the effort to obtain a MMSI number, and program it into your radio. Prices today make it a no brainer to get one with built in GPS, so that you don't have to connect it to your...

    225 tournament wot 35mph

That must have been a squirrely ride, 36mph at WOT with the bow buried.

    Fuel fill hose replacement.

I think the question was about my extra hose. I have a '93 Tournament 22. and I don't think that there was a dual tank option.

New all glass pilot house 330 express?

I like it, as long as there is good fresh air flow, when you want it. 90% of boat windshields are in the way either sitting down, standing up, or both. Windlass is one of those that spools the rode, rather than dropping into locker. Name escapes me.

    Fuel fill hose replacement.

I've said it before, and I still don;t know why, but my '93 has a spare fill hose taped to the original, from the fill to the tank. Yes, it's old, but it has never had fuel in it.

It took a while, but it finally happened.

What did my '93 Tournament 225, with a Yamaha 200 sell for new?

    Electronics Plug Identification Needed

Whoever rigs it will probably unsnap that Yamaha plug, and use the wiring harness for the Zuke gauge, or gauges. What is that black cable in the last photo? Does the end of it have the same type plug as the fuel flow sensor?

    Boat trailer update

Trailer brakes are no different than car and truck brakes were, before sealed wheel bearings. Most were only greased when the brake drums were removed for brake service, sometimes 20 or 30K miles, or more, with very few bearing failures.

    A few things and plans

Where did you find a compartment large enough to conceal life jackets? P.m. me your address, and I will send you that book, Along the Edge of America, by Peter Jenkins. I think you want a VHF with DSC, not AIS, unless you’re boating in a shipping channel. Get one that has an internal GPS, so...

looking for the post/ beam for table/ bed

Rusty Ron's/Island Marina is a big marine surplus store/ebay store in MHC, NC, close to the Grady plant. He buys their leftover parts, when they finish a production run, and has a ton of stuff. May be worth a call.

    Craziest place you ever fished

I got to see the African coast 20 years earlier. Not fishing. That was my longest Navy cruise in 1970, for almost 7 months. We crossed from Brazil to Luanda, then worked our way around the Horn to the east coast, Red Sea, Persian Gulf, Pakistan, India, Seychelles, Madagascar, then the coast back...

    Electronics Plug Identification Needed

That plug goes into the back of a Yamaha Command Link multi function gauge. The plug on the other end of the fuel sensor cable has the same triangular shape.

Peter Jenkins -- Along The Edge Of America

So, how many have read this copy now? I have one that I will add to the rotation, if it helps anyone out. I think I also have a supplemental photo book that he published later.
