    Looking for a jack

If you think the surge brakes seized, the first thing I would do is block the wheels front and back, have someone move the truck 6 inches forward and back, and see what the actuator is doing. Is it compressing when you back the truck, and releasing when you pull forward? You could also block...

    Looking for a jack

If you are replacing the entire brake system, that means lines. To me, that means the boat is off the trailer, no way I am crawling around under a boat on stands. What surface are you working on? Is there a local lake that you could park the boat in while you do the work? 4 6-ton jack stands...

My "First trip in the Bell" thread

I think you started a trend, Russ. When I just opened the forum, there were 9 'new posts', 5 were guys looking to buy a hard top, and one was a guy trying to decide between a HT and a bimini.

My "First trip in the Bell" thread

If your head has overboard discharge, either direct or via a holding tank, the valve to this discharge must be "locked" in the closed position when inside 3 miles. A "lock" can be a padlock, a wire tie, or other secure means, but not something that is easily removable. Check with your local CG...

Bow Pulpit for 1985 Seafarer 228

Look at the Windline that I posted pic of in this thread: https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/anchor-roller-on-a-1996-adventure-208.27835/#post-172155 Might be the same as Dennis', but I am not sure his has the angle to it. You don't have to worry about bending it, unless you have a super...

    Anchor roller on a 1996 adventure 208

It is all bolted down, and caulked, with large backing washers . No starboard, and no 5200, I would cut an anchor loose before I would rip that out. I don't know the model of the Windline, it is 3 hours away, at the moment. It's an expensive piece, that I picked up cheap at a flea market.

    Anchor roller on a 1996 adventure 208

The ring on the front of the roller is to keep the line from jumping off if you overrun the anchor, the anchor does not touch it in the up position

    Installing the new Hardtop

"No-one will touch the trailer................" What about you, did you put a hand on the hubs to see how hot they were? Get yourself one of these, and shoot the trailer hubs every time you get out of the truck. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=temp+gun&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

    Throttle and Shifter Cable Length?

For a '93 Tournament 22 with a 200 Yamaha 2 stroke on a notch transom? I realize that there are probably numbers on the old ones, but they are 3 hours away.

Has anyone ever installed an OEM or removed an OEM hard top?

If you have any canvas, or isinglass, that is supposed to go with it, set the top in place, and install the canvas before drilling any holes in the boat. A half inch one way or the other makes a lot of difference in how well canvas fits.

1st Time Slipped in a Marina.

Angled rod holders also help keep your shade from collapsing in the middle. Otherwise, you may need a third pole to hold the rear two apart on a windy day.

    Size anchor vs dock lines

No one uses a 7:1 scope to fish, that is for sleeping. Assuming straight lines for the calculation, you would have to find your fishing spot, go 495 feet away to drop your anchor, and hope to drift back over your spot. Most serious bottom fishermen don't even get to 2:1.

I was asking because that may be how your sensors are connected to your gauges/display. Also, check your private messages.

Where do you guy your 5200 sealant?

What kind of mechanical fasteners are you using, as well? I would not attach an antenna with 5200, they get broken and replaced too often.

When you crank the engine, does it show _ _ or does it show 0.0? The first would indicate no signal from the sender.
