Wow, thanks guys for the detailed description of the ins/out of issueing a small craft advisory. I was wondering what the definition of a small craft is...if the coast guard says 30 feet and under, then I guess it is.

Wow...a great summer story. We only have a finite time here and I can tell you making memories, sharing the sea or lake are some of the best things we can pass on. I hope to be in your shoes someday watching my son or daughter pass along what they are learning now. Thanks for sharing.

We pull our 228 up that grade on I 26. It can be done. Look us up if you bring the boat. We live in Cullowhee.

Congrats! A great boat. Enjoy her. I fish out of Chaleston from time to time now. Strikezone runs out and has been helpful too. You should trailer her to my neck of the woods and explore Fontana Lake in the Smokies....

Kids grow up. Boats on the other hand do not. I would encourage you to find both a 208 and a 228. Sea trial both if you can, then decide from there. The aft room of the 228 is nice. My 9 year old and his buddies love the cabin. We camp out on it from time to time...good luck and let us know.

Hey yall: I am wrapping up my trip here with 2 days left. Winds are blowing 20 knots plus with 6 to 8 foot seas in the Gulf Stream. I have fished 6 times offshore and this has been the worse dolphin time I have experienced here ever. We got a total of 5 fish all at or just above the 20 inch...

Maybe you should sea trial a 226 or 228....with a hardtop for those cool/cold days? If not I vote the 225 as I had a 192. I and my family appreciated the cover of the dual console. We love our 228.
