    Advice on raising scuppers?

I took some pictures of my project 228 before it had fuel or engines this past spring at our local lake as I was doing some trailer upgrades. I’m amazed how buoyant the hull is without the extra weight , here are pictures before and after, totally different look as expected.

    Screw Cover Caps in Almond

I’m looking on the pro-dec.com website and the picture of the 8/8-122 Beige SNAP-CAPS look really dark or is this just the photo on the website not displaying the colour correctly?

    Screw Cover Caps in Almond

I have to replace all of mine so shouldn’t be a big deal, I just didn’t want white or too dark of beige that they would stand out, thanks

    Re Power

I live on Vancouver Island and have 2 different Suzuki dealers 45 minutes away north and south of me. I do all my own maintenance that I can but buy parts through them when needed. I did the same with my Yamaha’s and never had any major component failures in 22 years with that brand. The...

    Re Power

I was a Yamaha guy for 22 years then bought my project 228 last winter and needed power and ended up with a Suzuki DF250, it’s been great so far, very quiet and lots of mid range power

    Removing Bolsters on a 228

Some Seafarers have small screws spaced along the bottom edge as well as the clips, mine came without the combing pads so I made them from scratch and just use the pull up clips but remove them regularly when not in use

    1994 Seafarer 226

I put a Suzuki DF250 on my 1999 228 Seafarer and it’s just fine, a little different boat than yours with the factory pod. A little bit of water will come up through the scuppers on the kicker side when somebody stands there but otherwise very dry with the motor as it weighs over 600lbs and the...

Serious now about joining the Grady crowd!

I’ve had my 1999 Seafarer since last December upgrading from a 2000 542 Campion that I had for 11 years, can’t be happier with the boat. I fish north Vancouver Island as well crossing over Nahwitti bar and over to Pine Island and West Coast off Nootka Island and the boat takes all kinds of...
