yamaha ox66 water not reaching top of block

Did you just pour water in the t-stat holes or did you force it in there? If there is a partial blockage, simply pouring might not do it. I would hold the hose nozzle as tight to the spot as I could and spray it full bore.

Gulfstream 232 Fuel Tank Removal (1990)

I think I used a grinder with a metal cutting disc. Hold it tight so it doesn't get away from you... Also, don't throw the old tank away. Recycle it. You will be surprised at how much it's worth.

    aluminum trim

I never understood why they used that. Why not trim it in teak like everything else?

    2006 228 water in pod

I'm not sure what they use to seal the bracket to the transom, but it's tough stuff. I tried to pull the bracket off of my old 252 and it wouldn't budge at all. I had my bracket repainted while still on the boat and I don't remember there being a gap at the top like that. I wouldn't be overly...

    Hardtop Pipe Size

The ones I have (fit my '93) appear to be Lee's RA5003 as the inside diameter of the clamp is a hair over 1-5/8". http://www.leetackle.com/clampon.html Let me know if you are interested.

    Live well operation/modification

If the broken drain you are referring to is the one in the bottom of the well, stop using the livewell immediately. Any water that gets down there will just sit on top of the foam and gradually work it way down into the deepest parts of your hull where it can never escape and will just rot your...

    Hardtop Pipe Size

I have the vertical Lee's on my old Sailfish. Don't remember the size, but I can measure them when I get home. I still have them if you think you would be interested. They are the silver finish and are in excellent condition. Can send you pics if you would like.

    Idle's high

Make sure you are comparing idle speed in the water to idle speed out of the water. The additional backpressure on the exhaust when in the water does make it run a little slower.

    Stripped spark plug hole threads

If you are going to try chasing the threads, I would pull the head off to ensure you keep any trash out of the cylinder. Once off you might be able to straighten them out by running the plug in from the piston side. If it ends up being boogered up too bad, I would buy a used head off of ebay...

    Rear Bimini Advice

Look for a take-off bimini. People who install t-tops usually unload their existing bimini once the job is done. I picked up the oem bimini off of an 18' Grady cc several years ago. It was in nearly new condition as I think the boat got a t-top installed shortly after it was purchased. I was...

    Cabin door

Screws never do well going into the end grain of plywood. What I've done in the past (on a house door) was drill out the screw holes and then epoxy in some hardwood dowels. Once cured, sand flush, drill your pilot holes and done. I measured my doors and unfortunately they don't match the ones...
