    Trailer to small?

Too small....too short....fenders are sitting almost on the tires which says to me you have too much weight on it.

Sold my Mako 17 now looking for a Seafarer.

John, The SeaV-2 hull came to the 22' boats (Fisherman, Tournament and Seafarer) in '92. The 226 and 228 were both built up until a couple of years ago. Now the only hull available is the 228. If they are maintained correctly, 1000 hours is nothing. My 225 Tournament is closing in on 1200...

When did you get your first Grady-White?

'86 190 Tournament with a 150 Johnson. Bought it in the Spring of '96. Blew the 150 in '99, had it rebuilt and it blew again during break-in. Replaced it with a 150 Yamaha and ran it until I sold it in the Spring of '04. Since then I've owned: '99 208 Adventure / 200 OX66 (Spring '04 -...

    Mysterious Canvas

As previously mentioned, it goes aft center and provides a level of coverage for the bimini when it's stowed underneath the motor well.

Lessons learned for a new Tournament 192 owner

I've heard of the remote tanks failing but its not a common occurrence. Even if it does, you wont be stranded. When the engine mounted tank gets low, an alarm will sound. Remove the engine cover and you can fill the tank on the motor directly. This will get you home and into the shop to...

    Tournament 205 VHF Radio Recommendation

All good choices. Any reason why you are mounting the antenna on the port side? If you mount it in the starboard side the wire run is much easier. Plus, you can reach it from the helm if you need to fold it down.

Lessons learned for a new Tournament 192 owner

Some good advice here. You don't need to mix oil with that motor. Old school outboards got a bad rap because of the OMC VRO system. Yamaha's Precision Blend system is a good one. The motor gets its oil from the motor mounted tank and the remote tank feeds the onboard tank. It's definitely...

    Tournament 225 performance

I think this may have been suggested, but are you sure the speedo didn't get set to knots and not mph? 38 knots is 43.8 MPH.

    Fuel alarm

The alarm is triggered either by a low oil condition, or by overheating. I wonder if the oil was low......

Do you think these cushions will clean up?

A Magic Eraser is your best friend. I've never had a problem with Clorox Clean Up....I know some say it will weaken the threads, but I've found if you spray it on, scrub the cushions, and rinse, you will be fine. Just don't let it sit for very long.

Hurricane Florence took my cushions - Tournament 225

Check with MM Boat Sales in Baltimore. They typically purchase the overruns, irregs, etc... and have a pretty large selection. The last time I bought a set of cushions direct from GW, they were expensive, but not brutal. I had to replace the backs and bottoms on the captain's chairs for a 223...

Advice on 2004 Grady White Tournament 205 price

There is an '03 225 Tournament on Cape Cod. It's priced well, particularly for the NE. It also looks like it needs a good detail and new cushions. For this price, it could be a steal.... https://www.boattrader.com/listing/2003-grady---white-tournament-225-103392825/?refSource=standard+listing

GW logo and registration numbers question

Look on eBay....there are still some old logos to be found from time to time. Alternative is to order the new logos and replace both sides. As far as registration numbers are concerned, if you go to http://www.boatus.com/graphics and order the navy numbers with gold outline, they match almost...

Question About Analog vs Digital Gauge

There is additional info in those Yamaha digital gauges....for example - oil level and the overheat warning. There are places on the internet that will rebuild them if they are savable. You might check http://www.gaugesaver.com

    Purchasing Adventure 208 Advice

Other than trim, no difference at all. The dash area was brown on the 97-98 models, almond starting in 99, and the opening was enlarged with a bigger door in '00. Great heavy boats...make sure the 150 will meet your needs.

    Putting a Yamaha 150HP on a Adventure 208?

I had a 208 with a 200....was a 43 mph boat. I also ran a 208 with a 175 and it barely made 40. There are plenty out there with 150s, but I think they are 36-37 mph boats. That may be plenty fast for how you use the boat....or you may be disappointed. I'd look for an OX66 (200 or 225) that...
