Legend: The stand pipe that came with my 2005 Grady had hard plastic threads. A more recent replacement has the soft rubber threads. Grady factory may be able to point you to the manufacturer of the previous plastic threads. Rob

Just in case your dealer doesn't get you in quickly, I don't think a couple of days of use will have any potential to make the problem worse from a water-absorbing perspective. I think it would take the boat sitting in the water for months to make a difference. Rob

I think sticking a flowing hose down there and testing the float switch is a good idea. I do that on occassion just to make sure all is working. Grady recommends running freshwater over and around the fuel tank as a rinse, so you can accomplish both at the same time. Rob

Sounds like you're not getting a good seal with the stand pipe. The boat should also have a threaded plug to seal the stand pipe area. Can you try putting the threaded plug in while livewell is full and see if it holds water then? If it does hold water, then I would suspect that the threads on...

Mine does not and I don't think any would. The sock just minimizes how much wind drift your boat experiences. But the boat is still moving with the current. I use one while fishing live baits from a kite or drifting squid down deep. Can be good to keep one on board for safety reasons too...

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I resorted to using Soft Scrub w ith bleach. Use it very lightly and you can avoid scratching the gelcoat. Then be prepared to put on some polish then wax. My wife got some spray-on sunscreen for the kids. Never again!
