    Rod Holders

Replace with something you like that matches the existing hole pattern. Search is the magnifying glass in the top right corner, opens across the very top of the page.

    Adding trim tabs

Agree with Seasick, and I wouldn't have a vee hull without them.

Not a grady question but you guys know a bunch so

I agree with Tunahunter that the best bang for your buck is hiring a captain for a day, who has a lot of experience driving vee hulls. It may sound insulting to some, but you have admitted yourself that you are self taught, due to Covid restrictions, and you are the only person I know who runs...

Not a grady question but you guys know a bunch so

Lucky dude said, “When people make comments about cats, can you please say which make/model cat? I'm looking at a 32 foot World Cat, it's night and day different from the Grady cat made ~25 years ago for example.” You should also want to know how many years they owned a catamaran. There is no...

    Seafarer Re-power options

Which begs the question, if your tow contract is 40 miles, and you are 45 when you break down, do they charge you for 5 miles of towing, or the full 45?

    Updating stereo on boat 228

Those speakers in the fish box inspection ports are directly under the waterfall from the walkaround, and the box gutters, from washing the boat, rain, or heavy spray. Any long term results?

Tips on removing batteries on 330 express 2008 and up

Hard to tell just how far of a reach that is, but looks like two or 3 feet at least. More than I could pick up at arms length by a long shot. Disconnect everything. Get a 12 inch wide board, like a bookshelf, that would reach from the seam in that generator casing to about halfway under the...

    Express 330 with 300s?

I think you're the only one who has given any prop info in the whole thread.

    Seafarer Re-power options

If you like the way your father took care of the boat, stick with it. I don't think the bottom was ever changed on the 226, from 94 to the end, so what does a newer model really get you, other than maybe 4 stroke power, which I admit is a nice bonus. I sold a '93 Tournament last summer, with the...

    Islander Trailer Setup

It may not be causing your issues, but I still think that it happens when the wheels are that far forward. I wasn't going to bring horses into this thread, but it did have me thinking of the difference between boat and horse trailers, where the wheels on the smaller trailers are as far back as...

    Islander Trailer Setup

I would think that having that long of a lever arm behind the axles, with two big outboards on the very end of it, would cause large variations in tongue weight at the hitch every time you hit a bump or dip in the road.

    Express 330 with 300s?

I think lumpy conditions make it easier to get a heavy boat like that on plane. Once you bounce over that first lump or two, you tend to stay on top rather than settling back in the water.

Drilling rod holder holes in the 228 transom cap

I could not hold a 15° up inside the transom, with the top flush to the bottom of the cap, and keep it anywhere near centered, if at all. Make sure it will fit on your boat, before you drill a slanted hole, instead of a straight one.

Drilling rod holder holes in the 228 transom cap

I put two on each side, on my 22 foot Tournament, and my current 2000 Seafarer 228. Same hull, basically the same transom set up. I don’t understand why you would use short rod holders, you have plenty of room to use full size, as long as you stay off of the top of the live well, and that is...
