    AC System, Testing Seawater Pump?

Thanks. I located a 2006 manual, must be for this unit controller. I'll give the test a try tomorrow. I also saw that I can recall the old settings, so maybe I'll try that to see if I can get the pump to make some noise. The fan comes on, so I'm hopeful. Thanks for the response.

Evidence of a fire on the fuel tank?

I had dried tuna blood that looked very similar.

    Water in the gasoline

I had issues with water last year. In my case the commercial dock has an older tank than the sport dock. However, I replaced the o-rings on each gas cap to make sure that was not an entry point. My Racors had a workout, and I replaced the Racor filter and the outboard filters.

    AC System, Testing Seawater Pump?

My 2007 Marlin has a 7K AC/reverse heat system. It didn't turn on the last time I tried. Now the boat is in my shop, I'll be able to pull ithe boat out next week to put water in the system. Is there a way to test the seawater pump without pulling it for the bench? I'd hate to order one and...

    Replace or Brush and Use?

What would you do? I weighed them to compare the material. Used Bar = 340g New Bar = 347g Button Used = 41g New Button = 48g As I had them off I replaced them, but I'll wire clean them for the shorter dip. I usually pull the boat once in a season to check the boat, lower unit etc.

Check for a local Ham radio club, they might talk your ear off but would probably be happy to solder for you.

    2007 Marlin diesel tank question

I echo a request for photos and parts list if you put in a guage. I was thinking of a guage near the stern door. I'd only rarely look at it.

    Removing Cabin Bolsters...

That is interesting. I didn't understand the plastic went right on the fiberglass. I think my table would be in the way on the Marlin. The midberth might work better.

    2007 Marlin Bowthruster Shear Pin

Yes, the zinc goes quickly on mine also. Talking of zincs, my trim tab zincs also go quickly. I started buying zincs from Bennett instead of tear drop style.

    2007 Marlin Bowthruster Shear Pin

The pin broke. I think I reversed direction without allowing the motor to stop. It is only 4mm so it can go quickly. I had input from a mechanic about a boater that broke several shear pins. He was not careful. The pin behind the propeller is made of stronger material and I've heard it...

    Auto pilot pump

My pump on my 2007 Marlin is also under the helm seat. The first one was in the bilge. Actually on the shelf just above the bilge. Total corrosion bomb. The Simrad folks sent me a new pump, I had to pay for the install.

    2007 Marlin Bowthruster Shear Pin

I got around to replacing the shear pin on my Side Power thruster. It is model SP55si-IP 12. Here are a few photos to show the process. The longest time was finding the pins I'd ordered from Imtra a couple months back. They were in the last bag of tools in my shop! So removing the sole and...
