How do you raise and lower this light?

Mine has a plastic wing nut. Lost one a few years back but found that they use them on toilet bowl lids.

    Fuel tank install

I used nitrile rubber strips 1/4" thick by 2" wide. 3M 4000 them to the tank. These strip are to insulate the tank from anything coming into contact with them that can trap water/moisture and cause crevice corrosion. Even if the tank is painted. Bottom, front, back and top mounting blocks...

    Fuel Tank Issue

Very difficult to fill filters with primer bulb (don't ask me how I know either). Pumping air with primer bulb is very inefficient. Once you get liquid they work so much better. Diesel boats I work with have fuel circuits that return unused fuel to the tank. The primer pumps don't have to fight...

    Fuel Tank Issue

I’m not convinced it’s an overfill/vent issue. That Perko fuel fill with vent is up high- within 3” of the cap. Leave cap loose to test. Check o-rings are good while you are up there. You lost prime on the main tank. Main tank hoses from pickups to tank valves have air in them. You not creating...

    Fuel Tank Issue

So what does "air locked" mean? I'm trying to make this understandable. What's wrong with making sure you have or don't have fuel to the engine depending on valve settings? If you can't prime them find out why. Don't guess. My bet is fuel filters are not full. Or primer bulbs are bad. Maybe no...

    Fuel Tank Issue

It's not that hard to confirm which setting of fuel valves are or are not getting fuel thru the filters. Just doit and know what is going on. Could be air leaks, bad primer bulb, low fuel in filter can. Work backwards from there.

    Fuel Tank Issue

The "pointy" end is set to AUX tank. You are correct. Remove filter cans, dump out, pour good gas back in and dump the water (if any). Top off with clean fuel. Remove the hose off the primer bulb. See if you can get some fuel flowing. If primer bulb is old or feels bad replace it. If you can...

We use an assortment of services for tournament fishing in the Northeast (NJ/DE/MD/VA). It all depends on what you are looking to learn. ROFFS is an expensive service and is sold by the day. For tournaments we are buy a package at the beginning of the year and order daily or weekly. They will...

If the batteries are hard to get to the electrolyte levels never get checked and topped off. Best way I know of to destroy a battery. That's why I switched to AGM's. I don't have to check!

    help finding helm seat bushing

These are relatively standard. Put a caliper on it. How much is it off by? Seat clamp is loose? Can you open it up a little with a screwdriver? Springfield Manufacturing in MO makes most of the seat bases.

Something is not right with battery/charging setup. Five years for battery life. What make of battery charger? I’m using ProMariner ProSportHD 20amp 3-bank charger. Duracell AGM 27M and 34M batteries from Sam’s Club-great price worth the membership.

    Adding raw water washdown

It's not forbidden. I do it all the time. If amazon posted it it's a different story.

    Battery warning

Yes - When I said they "make power" I meant that they take unregulated, noisy power the boat provides, clean it up and run sensitive electronics with it. To me that is "making power" - no flux capacitor required.

Well it's a small boat. What do you expect? How old were the batteries? They are a replacement item a some point. Maintenance is part of the ownership contract between you and your boat. "They are all sinking...only difference is how fast!".

    Battery warning

Charging at the dock and engine charging should be checked. Is this a 3-bank battery setup? I'll assume 3. Make sure second engine has charging shunt installed and is working. Probably a bad battery or all of the above. Newer generation of chart plotters "make" their own power internally. They...

Came close to sinking my 330 yesterday

Bilge water getting too high without me knowing it has always been a concern of mine. I have bright LED's on my bilge switches on my switch panel. Last year I installed a high-water sensor with a loud bell alarm. You should have a set of pre-sized wooden plugs for the scuppers and some wax...

Lewmar Bow Thruster on Express 330

Disconnect joystick at the helm. Should be a 4-wire connector there. Turn the disconnect on. If it still runs the motor it’s the relay (which I doubt). Probably something internal to joystick. You can pull it out and look for something mechanically wrong with it. Something loose or broken.

    outrigger recommendation 2022 271 Canyon

Assuming you have a hardtop that is factory ready for outriggers (reinforced and backing plates welded in) I would go with hardtop mounting. Grady White can confirm what they are setup for. GemLux Deluxe stainless. Pick a rigger length.

    Adding raw water washdown

That pump should not draw that much for a washdown. What brand and model? 10 to 15 amps. Panel should handle it. Just pull ACC breaker out and check amperage. Is the boat pre-wired for the pump?
