    Battery warning

Low voltage warning. How old are your batteries? How is the bow thruster hooked up (which battery)? Thrusters are hard on batteries. 5 years it typical and thruster battery less.

    Careful with the bottom paint

Each year the holes get smaller and smaller. Drill out every few years before painting.

Deck paint on the back of a 2002 330..... BUT WHY?!?!?

If they had to re-do the non-skid there are not many options. Not practical to diamond non-skid like factory. I would get the inspection ports up and look at the fuel tanks. See if they have been replaced. Also check for plywood glue oozing out on top of tanks from a wet hatch. Then its...

Lewmar Bow Thruster on Express 330

When I give power to the system (you mean when you push the power button on the joystick?) it starts right away (what do you mean? The power light come on? The thruster motor starts running without moving the joystick? The boat moves over to one side?) and only works in one direction. (So I'll...

    Nuts Bolts Staples snaps

That may not be factory. You need stainless staples and preferably an air powered stapler. Use a staple remover like below. Try to get them out or you will have perpetual rust stains. Fiberglass is hard and doesn't hold screws well. I bed most screws and snaps with a dab of 5200 and clean up...

    1988 20ft Overnighter 204-C Fuel Tank specs

Drill the hole with a stepped bit. Take the shavings off as you go. You would have to take the sending unit out so blow it out, get a vacuum in there on a piece of copper tubing or PVC pipe. Stepped bits are the best way to drill holes in plastic. Drill bits and hole saws make a mess and...

    engine Cowl

I touched mine up last Winter with Yamaha OEM cans. It looks OK. If you want perfect have the cowling professional done or replace it (if it is available as new-old-stock).

Head discharge keeps blowing the fuse.

Probably a in-tank Grocco macerator. Great when they work. Confirm what you have. A picture of the top of the holding tank will confirm everything. Symptoms are typical of bad motor. Expensive to replace but not worth fixing. Typically a winding goes bad. If you turn the motor they usually work...

    1988 20ft Overnighter 204-C Fuel Tank specs

Two vents are overkill. If tank is relatively level just use the aft vent-most boats work fine that way. If you decide to install a forward vent you will have to remove sending unit and pull in place.

    re bedding cleats

Maybe some carpet. Re-bed with 5200. Wipe excess off with paint thinner for a neat edge.

    1988 20ft Overnighter 204-C Fuel Tank specs

The deck should be parallel to the tank. The waterline may not be because of loading. I doubt you car going to find anything extreme about the angle. You probably don't need a vent forward. You could install a fitting with neoprene gaskets and maybe a little Permatex fuel safe gasket/sealer.

    1988 20ft Overnighter 204-C Fuel Tank specs

I don't really understand BlueComet's problem. That tank would have to be at a crazy impossible angle to only allow 20 gallons in. All my tank connections are at the aft end of the tank. Fill, vent and 2 pickups. Never a problem. If you really want a vent up forward I'm sure you could install...

    LED Cockpit Lights

I’m looking for recommendations for LED cockpit lighting. Blue. Strictly for at the dock usage. I have seen these flimsy self adhesive strip but I want something better. Adhesive strips break down and things fall off. I have new cockpit lights on order and blue LED’s for them.

    Trailer setup

I have a 268 Islander. This hull has the Euro Transom - running surface stops 2 feet short of transom and works like a engine bracket. I have a two bunk trailer. The only issue I have had is that the boat rested almost on the fenders. This required careful placement of the boat on the trailer...

Roller vs bunk for fisherman 222

I like my bunk trailer. I feel it's better for the boat. But I don't splash it. Because of my 1,300 mile trip each way to Florida in the winter I pay the marina to pull it off and put it back on. This trailer has never been wet. If I were dropping my boat in at a ramp I liked my old roller...

    A/C in a cuddy cabin

How would your wife use the air conditioner? Stay in the cabin? Keep the enclosure up? Cool both cabin and enclosed helm? What about a portable A/C unit from Home Depot? Could be mounted in cabin on v-berth or by sink. Removable. Just need to find a way to get vent hose to outside. 14"x14"x28"...
