    2004 283 Release pulpit reconstruction

There are lots of threads on pulpit repairs. You can likely make a mold and fabricate it how you want it. @seasick shared some vids recently https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/hatch-mold.33088/#post-222648

    Crappy crapper

Not too many brands that I’m aware of for marine crappers lol…Jabsco is the brand that I’d use tbh

    258 Voyager

You can probably fabricate it. Sailrite and stingysailor sites have a lot of helpful info

    Small tower on 257

Not to be Debbie downer but this feels like you’re going overboard, no offense, is it really necessary for this sized boat?

Where can i park a trailer in cambridge for a week or so?

I don’t mean to state the obvious but can the ramp you’re launching at keep the trailer for the weekend? I know you said it’s a public ramp, so probably not the security you’re looking for? most ramps would have parking available for truck/trailer though.

    Engine bracket

I could be way off, but I suspect that you have copper based bottom paint on the outboard bracket that is not the correct type of paint for the bracket (would be fine for the hull but the bracket itself might need a different kind of paint)...

    330 Express Boarding Ladder

Amarine makes a collapsible ladder. Not sure if this is what you have on your boat though. Amarine Made 4 Step Stainless Steel Telescoping Boat Ladder Swim Step https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00COCD2BG/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_NX9XMR4YYJNPSCMQS70Y

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a 257, looking for input and thoughts

to me this question depends on how long you plan to keep the boat. If it’s greater than ten years, going newer wouldn’t be a bad play. Used boats 5+ years old are selling at new prices due to availability. I just saw a posting on this site for an 05 hull posted at $180k… ouch (did have newer...

Price check ... slip and storage fees

I can venture a guess that Michael Jordan is not going to lease out his Viking to anyone. No amount of charter fees would be worth a slip and fall lawsuit.

New 1996 Grady White Islander 268 with twin 200 V6 Mercs

An easy fix would be drilling some holes about every 3-4 inches just through the bottom skin to the core. Can use a bent nail or Allen wrench in a drill to remove some rotten core material. Then refill with penetrating epoxy and cover the drilled holes with epoxy. wouldnt have to take it all...

    1997 Grady 209 Escape

No problem, only took a couple minutes for those to pop. I have a saved search in Boston + 200 miles because there is great availability there (relative to CA) and it’s just fun for me to look at anyways. Seriously, the NE has great availability, don’t overpay for something, you will find deals...

I have no doubt you will find other options not that far from you. If you can expand up to NH you might find a cherry freshwater boat with an end of season deal in the next 2 months https://longisland.craigslist.org/boa/d/amityville-2006-angler-204fx/7378317771.html...

Price check ... slip and storage fees

In San Rafael CA (30 mins north of SF) my slip fee is $215 per month for 24’ double finger and have water and power access, and a bathroom, but no security. In Brisbane CA (20 mins south of SF) my 22’ side tie is $180 monthly with no access to water and power but a better bathroom (lol) and...

New 1996 Grady White Islander 268 with twin 200 V6 Mercs

I think any corrosion might be on the bottom of the fuel tanks rather than the top. If I’m reading correctly the fuel tank is from ‘99, so 20 years old. Maybe you get some time with them as is, but I wouldn’t push too long before replacing. The alum tanks typically have a 20 year life. You...

    Gonna tackle a soft spot

An easy fix, not as pretty, would be drilling some holes about every 3-4 inches just through the top skin to the core. Can use a bent nail or Allen wrench in a drill to remove some rotten core material. Then refill with penetrating epoxy and marinetex the top of drilled holes. see ‘repair...

You would probably enjoy the extra horsepower. Makos seem to need a floor replaced as often as Grady’s need transom work. I think Makos changed ownership at some point and I had heard quality wasn’t the same after the ownership change but I don’t have personal experience with it...

Bilge smell in Marlin mid/aft berth

Great advice from Robert. once you get past the cleaning stage, you want to air it out routinely and prevent standing water as much as possible
