    Tach or engine synch?

the "synch" should be accurate. the gauge would have rounding in it. you should be able to hear it as others have said. ron

    Factory Hardtop ??

i think the sp is eisenglass. for what it's worth, you may do better having a top quality local guy do the work. they custom fit to your needs. there are a couple guys that did work around my marina that looked absolutely great. ron

    Resolution of my 250

yeah, that's what i'm saying. no matter how good a company is, products, services etc aren't bullet-proof (even bullet-proof vests aren't truly bullet "proof"). the key for me is the company that stands behind the product and doesn't make a problem "yours". i've heard enough stories from my...

    Resolution of my 250

companies with good reputations NEVER would do something like that. it would be like an old line financial advisor recommending an investment and then betting against you. who would do such a thing?

How many Grady owners carry spare props on board?

i have a spare engine. :D i'm also a member of both seatow and towboatus. for me, there is no way i would get out of the boat in open water to change a prop. but, i'm a wuss. ron

    Resolution of my 250

i don't know, but if air can get in i would guess that you can also have water in under the "right" circumstances. also, the above water exhaust port could get water pushed back in. mine was real low to the waterline. i saw that they redesigned that port a year or two after my model.

    Resolution of my 250

different perspective. my twin f200's on the gulfstream sat very low. i was never one to come off plane quickly, always slow and easy. however, i can easily see water hitting the back of the cowlings and flooding into the air intakes on the top if you were to come down off plane abruptly...

Rear Drop bench seat on 33 Express

stupid design, huh? i think someone needed to think past the showroom on that one. can't help with the repair, but i can tell you what i have been doing with the cushions. on my gulfstream ('02), i would clean the coaming with marykate crazy kleen and then spray liberally with starbrite...

    305/330 Express question

i have a 330. no problem seeing the gauges. i rarely sit, mostly standing. i'm 5'5". you actually only raise the pod to its maximum height when you are working on the electronics. other than that, you raise it high enough to see your equipment (which is still pretty high). ron

    Marlin Generator/bilge access...UPDATE W/PICS

that's pretty much what i was trying to suggest. just turn it into a watertight removable hatch. i think the channeling is over-engineering for a retrofit, you just need to get in and out on occasion, not daily. ron

    seat sliders

email gw directly. they will tell you the best way of getting replacement parts. i think pompanette makes all the seats (you could check their website). ron

    Marlin Generator/bilge access...UPDATE W/PICS

you might try to just use the existing hatch with 4 compression latches and a very high quality gasket (vinyl or watertight neoprene). take a look at these http://www.southco.com/class/e3-vise-ac ... tml?ctid=2 (the keyed style that don't elevate very far off the deck is what GW is using)...

    Garmin 4212 versus 5212 - I'd appreciate your advice

i was originally going to go with 2 4212's last year. i was concerned that the anti glare on the 5212 would wear off (like my 2010c). well, i spoke with a rep at a boat show and he said the anti glare is between the screens. you touch clean glass. i told him that they should stress that in...
