The benefit of the 228 is the closed transom and extra space. If your truck can tow it, I would go 228.

If buying new and in the budget, hardtop is a no brainer that you will never regret. I wish I had one on mine!

I have a 1999 Advneture 208 with a F150 yamaha. Your proposed set up is ideal. The 150 works well for me, I primarily use it in the ocean with 2-3 adults and a 38 gallon bait tank. It pushes the boat fine for me, I dont pull kids on the tube or water ski so your 200 would be better for that...

I used wire reinforced hose for all my thru hulls. Also, double hose clamps on all thru hulls. You can never be too safe with those!

Welcome! Congrats on getting a great boat. I would check with the previous on why the boat took on water. You will want to check all thru hulls and hoses below deck, the transom and wiring as you are. Great boats, keep us posted on progress.

I have a reliable fish bag. Very happy with it. Keeps ice a pretty long time and a few sizes to choose from.

Yeah - for sure - no perfect boat for sure. I do love the Grady - SV2 hull, easy to tow, more comfortable cabin, economical, build.. But I also love the spartan fishing boats. Too many boats, not enough $$ or time!

They are different. Walk around vs pilothouse, pluses and minuses of each. I own a 208 and fished the 2120 plenty. That's why I am looking for others opinion, The pilothouse was easier to walk around than the 208, and had more space inside. I like the open air feel and the layout of the 208...

My buddy has had several Parkers. I've spent some time on them. I think the build quality on the Parkers is a little better. What are your guys experience or thoughts on it. Also, think you need some more hp with similar sized boat.

Has anyone owned both and can talk to the pluses and benefits of each? I know the pilothouse is the main difference - what about build, ride quality and comfort. The Parker 2120 is the only other boat I can see myself looking at this time based on my current needs.
