I have 2 15 watt solar panels with "battery tender" controllers wired directly to each battery, only plug these in when in my storage. So far it has worked great. I used the same set up on my 17 whaler with 2 batteries for years w/o issue.

I have a one as well, kids bought it for me for my birthday. They sure are nice! I just have not found the room on my 208 to use it. I typically use a large fish bag or the built in cooler for carrying my ice.

I typically get 2.5 to 3 mpg with this motor and the above load depending on how much trolling I do. This is my last trip, it was a little bumpy and when we got to the spot, 27 miles out, one of my boys started to get sick so we came back in. Almost 67 miles on 21 gallons.
