I/O and inboard boats don't usually have max HP ratings....so nothing to worry about there. If your transom and stringers are designed/built to handle the load, bolt 'em on. But I would make sure you can get insurance first. What bracket are you using?

90s don't have an external oil reservoir so that space could be reclaimed. Batteries can be relocated relatively easily to under the console. Then aft section of the cap would have to be redesigned/rebuilt as would the transom cutout. Not easy...but doable. Kinda like closing the transom...

Yes, it's possible. But you'll have to mod the transom/engine cutout.

If the gelcoat doesn't have the wax additive, try brushing a coat of PVA over the entire gelcoated surface. Give it a day to two and then wash that off. If it's still tacky, you can probably lay down another layer of gelcoat right over it (and PVA if if it's the non-waxed stuff). If it comes...

They can ship to you. I bought some Yamaha rigging from they a few weeks ago and had it in a few days.

A 2x4 wedged in there works just as good and won't cost you $60.

That depends on how much fuel and water he gives you. If both are empty, figure on that number being 1500 lbs. lower.

Unless your bracket has been replaced, it is made of aluminum. No fiberglass.

If you are only looking to get more power, I'd go with a used 200 or 225 OX66. Heck, I bet you could find a new leftover out there somewhere...

Turning the switch on will only power up the fuel gauge...unless somebody already messed with it...or I'm just plain wrong about it's functionality.

My old 204 had that swtich too. Turned the fuel gauge on and off if I remember correctly. I rewired it to come on with the ignition when I did the new gauge panel.

I would also get yourself a small 3-gal external tank and run it directly to the motor. That will help you determine if the problem is with the engine or the fuel system.

Fuel pumps. 3 of them on the port side of the block. About $42 each to replace. If they've never been done, it's time.
