    Hardtop rod holders

Call Don Battin at Pipe Dreams Marine. He will custom make a rocket launcher for you. www.pipedreamsmarine.com I had him do a T-Top and leaning post for my old boat and his work was phenomenal and the cost was very reasonable.

    Water Intrusion in Flotatio

Easiest way is to take all the "stuff" out of the boat, empty the fuel tank and take it to a truck scale to be weighed. Then subtract the weight of your tow vehicle, the weight of the engine and the weight of the trailer. Compare the end result to what Grady listed to original dry weight as.

    87 Sailfish 252G engine bracket

The bracket does not have a closed tub. The end that meets the transom only has a flange for the bolts...and there's no bolts across the top that I'm aware of. So, if the caulk there had gaps, there's a good chance that is where your leak is/was. Best way to fix that is to pull the bracket...

    Hydraulic steering

Take the whole hydraulic system off and put on a Teleflex rotary NFB 4.2 system. You can get the helm and cable for under $150 and never have to worry about seals again. There's no need for a hydraulic system on that hull with that motor. Had the same system on my old 204 w/ 150 Merc and it...

    Salvage Boat-2007 Adventure

You also have to take into consideration the fact that water has now gotten to places that is was never supposed to. Grady uses a box-grid stringer system and once water gets in...it doesn't come out. Sure the core won't rot as it's that Greenwood XL rot-resistant stuff, but it will absorb...

Grady White Customer Service Does it Again

It's great to hear that they are monitoring these boards, but I think they are missing a trememdous opportunity to correct some of the past (and existing) issues identified by current owners, previous owners and yes, the bashers. Take T-Bones transom issue for example. Failure of the trim...

    Trailering Question

I towed my old 204F all over the place with an identical Jeep (4.0, auto trans, no cooler, etc.). That little XJ pulled like nobody's business. Plenty of power, just lacked a bit in the braking dept if the trailer brakes weren't tip top. Never hesitated to do 100+ mile trips. Summit...

    transom G-W

There is also the possiblity that the hole goes completely through the transom and into a sealed compartment inside the boat. I've seen this a few times on GWs, Makos, etc. Those compartments can get enough water in them that it would take 30+ seconds to drain from 3/16" hole or so. If...

    transom repair

What coring material are you going to put back in there? I've seen those pics of the GW transom from Composite before. I even talked to them about what to use in my Mako transom. Ironically, they recommened Marine Ply...and to just make sure the job is done properly. :)
