Seastar Hoses for a 22’ Seafarer

Did the copper lines actually get damaged, and if so how, or did they just start leaking? Age of boat. My 2000 has copper lines.

    Freedom 275 Bow Thruster

Here's something to keep in mind, if your line handler is onboard, as in the second scenario, instead of staying on the dock. When you let that spring line fall all the way to the dock boards, and then come tight on it, it can wedge between the planks and the piling, un-noticed. Now you're...

    Holding tank keeps filling

Your holding tank should have a five eights, or three-quarter inch vent hose. Where does it exit the hull, and how far above the waterline?

Did you do a pump out, as stated in the original post, or did you do an over board discharge?

CBT, that should be a Chevy truck motor, if it is original. Isn't there a big nut in the center of the pulley? Run cheap oil through there until you get the milk out, no need to wash it out with champagne.

    AC unit install

My advice for anyone considering a hatch carry on, is to pick one up and lug it around for 10 minutes, across a parking lot, up and down a flight of stairs. Then ask yourself if that is how you want to spend your leisure time. You are 60. How does a back injury fit into your plans?

Plus, you will need an electrical panel for shore power, unless you plan on running a sizable generator underway. Those 3 things take up a lot of space on a 24 with a small cabin.

    fresh water pump

Where is the tank? Does the pump have to suck water from the tank, or is it gravity fed? Fill the tank, disconnect the outlet hose from the pump. If you have a good flow there, reconnect, and work your way up the line, connection by connection. When you get to the first junction beyond the pump...

Filter should be between the tank and the pump, usually connected to the pump. Are you sure that pump on the transom is not a raw water pump?

    Side vent window latch

Okay, thanks. I got my back-up Sea Dog replacements over the week-end, and although I didn't take them out of the package, I can see that the shaft is smooth, and it says that the cap is a press on fit, so I assume a metal clip inside. I think that if I were going to use them, I would add an...

    Grady white 24 1992 Explorer

I believe your live well is under the hatch behind the passenger helm seat. It gets water from a through hull under the stern, and discharges through one of the 3 through hulls on the port side, right underneath it. There is a pump somewhere between the stern through hull and the live well...
