    Purple eyeball

Thanks, but are you sure? I rarely subscribe to a thread, but almost all are marked with the eyeball. If I click on watched threads, which I assume are subscribed threads, there are only six total

dealer prep time on new boat?

Did you pay for the boat, or pay for the prep, last Thursday? Anyway, I would want my warranties to start the day that I took possession, not the day the boat was delivered to the dealer.

    Purple eyeball

Never noticed it before, but when looking at posts under “new posts”, there is a purple eyeball symbol to the right of the thread title in most of the threads. What does it indicate?

    Is this factory?

You need to replace all those plastic through hulls. Don’t be surprised when they break in your hand when you try to remove them. That wire looks like a piece of 110 V lamp wire.

    Soft floor

Tank should have capacity on the label, under one of the round pie plates. Did he replace the tank, or just coat and reuse? Is the tank located in the main tank space, or the aux tank space?

    Moving motor flusher

Clark, did you buy a hose barb adapter in the garden hose section, or just a threaded pipe nipple? The first link shows a connector with both, to attach a hose to a pipe. You can see the difference in threads. The second shows the proper hose-to-hose connector. If you have the right connector...

    Rod storage ideas?

If storage under the gunnels is adequate, and the biggest worry is UV damage, a simple piece of canvas snapped to the gunnel should protect them.

    2021 Adventure 208 Build

Do the newer boats still have the drop down box inside the cabin, to give you access to the back of your electronics?

    Rod storage ideas?

I thought Grady put rod hangers in all their cabin boats. Are there no white plastic hooks in your cabin?

    Seacock stuck

Most of the old ones have a small drain plug, which can be replaced with a grease zerk. Some of the newer ones(Groco) have a drain and a zerk. Grease them in the open position, or the grease goes into the center of the ball valve, instead of against the side...

    Moving motor flusher

Clark, what you are asking is possible. Maybe the adapter is pipe thread, instead of a hose barb, and it is not going in far enough to seat the fitting to the hose. Does it leak with just a hose attached? My washer falls out if I am not careful,

    Moving motor flusher

I like the idea, but I don't think I have room in my rigging tube to run a hose, especially where it goes through the grommet into the cowling. But external is easily doable when leaving the boat in the slip, a double male adapter on the engine hose, and a braided washing machine hose to the...

    Drain in back of Boat

The edge of the opening looks bright white, like the flange on one of Grady's notorious plastic thru hulls broke off. But, I don't see the shadow on the hull of where it used to be.

    throttle and shift cables

Disconnect from the engines, and see if the tension is still there. I believe there is a tension adjustment in the shifter.

    Happy new owner

I'm one of those who believe that maximum MPG, and maximum comfort/efficiency, are in a very small range. I run my boat, a 2000 Seafarer, by my fuel meter, and I never feel that I am sacrificing comfort, especially if I am sitting on my wallet. I have never had 2 outboards, except on a...

    Seafarer Wood Bulkhead Replacement

That is revealing, in a helpful way. It motivates me to find the cause of the brown stain at the base of my port bulkhead, before it gets to that point. But you are right, it is a mess.

    Moving motor flusher

Where the flushing hose is screwed to the OEM male fitting on the motor, is that just a dead-end connection?

    Seafarer Wood Bulkhead Replacement

Post some pictures of 'a real mess'. Sometimes it gets boring seeing everything turn out perfect. You know they left some pictures out.

    Drain in back of Boat

I would look on the inside of the boat. A drain has a hose, clamps, and two ends. Otherwise, it is a hole in the boat.... edit to add: ......unless it is a motor well drain.
