New motor prop and rpm questions

I'm with Dennis, disconnect the trailer. Seriously - what happens when you trim it out? On mine, I pick up 300-400 RPM when I trim it up. Assuming yours acts similarly that would put you at 5700-5800 RPM. If that doesn't get you there then I would raise the motor one hole. I find GW...

    Accessory electrical fuse box

X2 on a new one. I agree with Ron though that it's weird that it was mounted where it was. On my 2000, it's mounted to the underside of the starboard console. You can get to it either by laying down on the deck where your feet would be when you are driving, or by removing the plywood panel.

What if I went past 20 hours, say 30

Go to FL and go fishing....drop it off at Mid-Carolina on the way back. If you have 25 or 28 hours, it won't hurt a thing. Have a great time...let us know how the trailer does.

    Performance Trailer Rebuild in Progress

The mass produced manufacturers typically bolt the crossmembers to the I-Beam. The custom guys weld them together. I don't like galvanized crossmembers because they (A) rust from the inside out and (b) have to be galvanically isolated. That said, they do offer extra weight to the trailer...

How to install new transducer cable in 225 turnament

Welcome to the forum. I use a length of rubber coated twine....tie it securely to the end of the transducer cable...start the feed into the rigging tube...and pull gently from the other end. It's easier if there are two of you but not impossible if only one of you is doing it. I also have a...

    RING FREE

I too use it and use it religiously. DOMO-ONLINE is the best place to buy it. If you don't need 6 bottles at a time, find another GG'er or a friend and split the case with him. That's what I do.

    Grady 2000, Tournament 22, transom

I have the same boat/motor combo and it's for sale. Have we spoken? The answer to the question is you can get visual access by looking under the seats on each side. You could also get in there and feel around and look for rotten wood. This model year GW used fully encapsulated wood in the...

    Need advice Yamaha corrosion issue

Jeff - I think a quick check of the manual should show what rpm should be at in gear idle. I know on my 225 OX66 it's around 7-750. It might be worth a second opinion too. Doesn't sound like a very high comfort level with the existing tech.
