Did the sender get reconnected? Did the sender get broken? You should be able to reach under the bracket and feel it. You should also be able to check in the motor pan and make sure everything is connected. Just follow the cable.

You can replace the lever assembly. You might want to disassemble the seat and replace the slide glides. They aren't particularly expensive.

NAPA 60**70. ** is the length. I think it's a 16 and not a 13. The entire assembly is only about $10. Save your energy trying to get the refill out and just replace the entire assembly.
